closer look at the fall footwear
collection so look can we expect from
Footwear this collection so what we have
in Germany is we actually have an
archival museum where every single pair
of Adidas that was ever created is
catalogue to put in there what our
product designers do is they make an
appointment with the guy who’s been
there for 40 years and saying I need
some inspiration for Footwear this is a
shoe silhouette called the forum and
this was the basketball shoe they
probably put out maybe a decade ago so
what they did is they use the same
silhouette but they did a really cool
new upper so this is a faux snakeskin on
it so it’s super cool but it’s still the
style that if you did you research this
is the actual basketball shoe probably
the players used a decade ago here’s the
same kind of silhouette but this is all
made of recyclable materials and natural
materials this is made of hemp in the
yesteryear they used to use a lot of
inserts and insoles that were made of
bamboo and then this is a reground sole
so it’s the same kind of tread sole but
we’ve actually put little seeds in there
so if it’s reground and put back to the
earth hopefully something grows out of
it this is the first running shoe we
ever put out as the deed is now things
have changed dramatically this is a Zed
X famous famous shoe but if you look at
what’s happening and we still sell this
but what’s happening in follow eight is
there’s a lot of different fabrications
so you see the designers are using all
kinds of rubbers and meshes and all
kinds of things so rather than the loud
and really crazy shoe is more subtle can
you tell us a little bit about these
items well I thought it was kind of
significant to really talk a little bit
about skateboarding and how influential
skateboarding is on lifestyle fashion
these days this is from an illustrator
who contributes to Thrasher Magazine and
if you’re
skater you know that magazine and his
name is Michael Sieben so he did this
high top and he did this little
character and then he did it on a hoodie
and and he has this really great parting
thing that says smile forever
