Exercises to Help You Pass Your RCMP PARE Exam

the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is
Canada’s National Police Service that is
one of the most recognized in the world
hi I’m Veronica watchmojo.com and today
we’re taking a look at some exercises
that will help aspiring Mounties pass
their fitness exam hi my name is
Sebastian and I’m here with my colleague
Haskell and we’re going to be showing
you a few exercises today to help you
prepare for the pair tests the RCMP okay
now this is part of the pair test where
you’re pushing on someone and trying to
get them control and if you really got
to make sure you lean into it and keep
good pressure plant your heels if you
don’t they can easily take you down
let’s push you away now in this next
exercise we have Pascal pulling on
straps again we’re just trying to
simulate the movement and what he’s
doing is really planting his heels and
keeping his hips flex
abs are tight leaning forward slightly
not leaning back too much because you
don’t have leverage that way if somebody
just does let go you’re gonna fall right
back and he’s just pulling constantly
adding pressure and pressure and
pressure into keeping going strong now
if you don’t have the straps you can
always use a partner of a city like a
woman during the weight carry you’re
gonna see cevaz cradling the weight in
his arms being very stable standing in a
very linear position head on top of hips
and walking straight towards you he’s
going to be bending his knees so he’s
absorbing the shock of the way this way
he can carry a large load a long
distance it’s working the legs the lower
back and the abdominal area by keeping
your butt contracted if you’ll be able
to take this large load a long distance
more efficiently the next exercise we do
is the vault and it’s a very fairly
simple it’s just basically a jump over a
stable object
go ahead sub
when you do the vault what’s very
important is if you can take a running
sub plant your hands well land both feet
on the ground and then continue on
moving if you notice he lands mostly on
the ball of it’s for absorbing the shock
so his heels and knees don’t take the
impact and he’s ready to move on right
away and continue throughout the
movement nice job and what we showed you
today we’re exercises that you will be
doing doing the pair test but there are
other exercises that you can do in the
gym to help you prepare for that such as
you know squats jump squats
burpees lunges a lot of basic training
is needed before we even do the pair
test so you really need to prepare
yourself well
