hi welcome to watchmojo.com and today
we’re going to talk about ethical
fashion it’s basically two principles
it’s clothes that are made in fair labor
conditions sweatshop free and clothes
that are made with environmentally
friendly raw materials like organic
cotton recycled materials there’s new
fabrics like bamboo and even now a milk
fiber which is being mixed with Wolf
genes are one of the items that pollutes
quite a bit because there’s quite a bit
of processing involved so one of the
steps that some of the designers take is
they eliminate a lot of the additional
processing which gives the jeans these
special effects that we see now it is
pollution wise in North America when we
produce clothing there are regulations
which regulate how much we’re allowed to
pollute how much of these dyes go back
into the environment which is basically
none the cycle has to be closed but when
we produce something in a developing
country often these regulations don’t
exist so the dyes and the chemicals go
right into the water supply and then get
fed back into drinking water when people
think about ethical fashion they think
about teachers they think about basic
stuff but as you can see I’m wearing a
pretty chic and afaik and Samba here
tell us a little bit about the Blazer
and the most elegant things that you
have in the store well we have Blazers
with capri pants or Blazers with a skirt
Blazers with pants made from grace and
cello and it’s all made out of organic
Cotton’s this is made by on and on
ecologic what they do is they take old
garments that had been thrown away and
they recycle them cut them up and style
them into new garments we carry also
several other designers who do the same
thing and who is your type of clientele
for this kind of fashion we have two
vastly different markets first is the
converted the people who want to buy
fair labor products responsible products
and people who want more environmentally
friendly options those people require no
convincing they often have a lot of the
information already themselves and they
seek out these products the other group
of people are interested in fashion and
many of our clothes compete heads head
in terms of design and style with price
point that you can find in other trendy
boutiques
