about why he has so many female fans
love will scar your makeup lipsticks to
me so now maybe name
so how do you feel about your reputation
as a sensitive songwriter I don’t really
have any issue with any kind of thing
that people call me like I know the
music that I make comes from the heart
and soul so if that if that makes me
sensitive and so–but I’m just making
the music I want to make them working as
hard as possible to try and put it out
there I believe that as a job it’s quite
a cool job because you make people happy
every day that’s kind of that so I guess
having a reputation as a sensitive
singer-songwriter is in the world

yeah another smart move that you made
you wrote a song for one direction
yeah is that it was joka nuts a smart
move it’s that I think probably yeah
that wasn’t like a calculated move at
all I’m just I I’m really good friends
with Harry from from one direction and I
used to live on a couch that he used to
live on the other couch pretty much like
out we shared a guitarist for a while
the guitar is played on my record and
played in their band and we just used to
hang out and he said we’re putting
together our album and can with with
fanzine music can you put toward any
songs and I had a demo CD of loads of
tunes that I was trying to get placed so
I gave it to them and then it went on
their album and it’s cool it’s that that
that I had a cut on another thing as
album called Olly Murs in in England and
you know to start a reputation for being
known as a songwriter as as well as an
artist is a very important thing to me
and there their success has kind of
really helped out in that in that sense
like for me as a songwriter so it’s um
yeah it’s good I wish them all the
successful names just a bus
and that probably added to the level of
female adoration that you have received
what’s your take on that I’ve never
really seen myself as a pinup and I
don’t think that anyone else has either
but I think from the beginning of the
campaign last year there was a lot of
kind of female attention so I’m not one
to say who should be into the music and
who shouldn’t be and I found from
experience in England it’s you know I
have fans from age 12 to age 90 and
everything in between so I’m I love
anyone that loves those my music it’s
it’s good I’ll be junkie

what’s your craziest fan experience so
far towards the beginning when I had
proper heart because I was playing small
gigs and they were proper proper
hardcore fans you get the odd bit of
hair that gets ripped out because I used
to be going and this isn’t even like
fangirling teenage girls this is like 21
year old dudes like who at University
they’re a bit drunk and like it get a
lovely bit of his hair and like I used
to go in the crowd and play of the gigs
and I have as many hardcore girl fans as
I have I have as many hardcore dude fans
they’re just Ladson they like to like to
party here a couple of people working
out there that’s not great
