Clara Kramer: Life After the Holocaust

no matter what you want to live there
were searches everybody’s suspected him
and you just kept quiet said there and
play Clara Kramer spent two years living
in a hand-dug bunker underneath a house
hiding from Nazis hi I’m Rebecca Braden
and welcome to watchmojo.com and today
we’re speaking with Clara Kramer about
her time in the bunker and what it was
like when she was finally released what
was life like living in the bunker I
can’t say it is boring because every day
you know what was going on in the gate
of so every day I had all bad news and
we were hungry you were thirsty were
scared and let me started with the
killings and everything so you just
crawled into the smallest hole and you
were glad that you were there the
killings were in the small forest
outside the city they had to pass our
house and the way so like at four
o’clock in the morning we heard cries
German screaming loss loss gunshots that
went on for three days and we knew they
are taking our families to be shot and
there was nothing we can do when we came
out of there and then the first minute
when the Russian soldiers came River
embracing each other kissing and crying
and then when you started walking the
streets it hurt you realize that
everybody is gone and we waited around a
year because a we had to recover we had
to learn how to walk he had to learn how
to live and then you could only live in
cattle cuts probably the same cattle
cars took the Jews to bells it’s and I
was the hem happy to go what would you
say is the most important lesson that
you learned from your ex
from my experience don’t hate you waste
your time you waste the time that you
could do something better try to learn
about the people try to learn about them
thank you very much you thank you
