hi I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’ll be
checking out one of the newest
incarnations of one of the oldest pc
games flight simulator
so tell us about flight simulator it’s a
simulation game where you actually get
to fly planes or helicopters there’s
actually over 20 different aircraft that
you have to choose from and this year
it’s great value because we’ve actually
combined the original flight simulator
deluxe along with the expansion pack and
put it into one called the cold pack you
get to take off and land from real world
airports there’s up to 45 different
airports you get to fly over real world
cities there’s up to 38 of those or it
could be something that may be a little
more challenging like trying to land a
helicopter on an oil platform in the
Atlantic Ocean tell us a bit about the
history of the game flight simulator was
one of the first games that we actually
had on the pc and it’s been 25 years of
you know continuous innovation with this
game it’s come a really long way and
it’s been one of our most popular
simulation games that we’ve had out
there so we have people that that have
actually been playing this game since it
came out you know a lot of people will
come up to us and tell us how when they
were 19 years old it was the first game
they ever played on the pc and you know
now they’re buying it today and they’re
sitting down and they’re playing it with
their kids what kind of improvements
have been made over the years in the
game the graphics definitely would be a
big thing so you know part of it is pcs
just has a great gaming experience and
then as well there’s directx 10 which is
a new graphics rendering technology so
it really makes the graphics look almost
real as well you know all the different
views that you have in the game and the
fact that now it’s it’s basically the
real world you know it really is like
you’re flying in a plane yeah I would
say it’s pretty much night and day from
25 years ago thank you very much very
well
