Buy or Rent: Gaming Checklist – Playability

hi this is Chris again your fellow geek
speaker here with watchmojo calm today
what I’m going to be doing is actually
covering some of the things that I think
are really important when it comes to
buying a game so I’m going to go over
some of the criteria that I follow when
choosing which game I want to actually
put my money into and I’m going to refer
you to some other sites that i use in
order to help me better make a decision
about what games are actually worth my
money now one of the first places all go
whenever I’m curious about a game is
gamespot com the game spots known for
being some of the hardest for viewers
when it comes to the gaming industry and
it’s for good reason these guys really
know what they’re talking about really
take the time to look at a game and
aren’t easily sort of impressed by the
flashiness that you see in games they
really look at the meat of it and the
general rule of thumb I’ve noticed with
gamespot is if they give a game an 8 out
of 10 or even a 7 out of 10 often other
sites will be given it a 10 out of 10 or
even a 9 so when developers are making
games one of the most important things
that they have to consider before
graphics before audio is really how will
this game play how will it control now a
good example of controls really being
implemented well in my opinion is pretty
much any system made by nintendo if
there’s one thing that usually can’t be
argued by many it’s that when you hold a
nintendo controller in your hand really
the controller’s seem to sort of melt
into your hand often what game designers
do is they’ll map a certain control
scheme for controller and sort of give
you a couple variations of it but you
know you often don’t see full on you
know totally customizable controls
