I’ll be speaking with two of the members
of blue print crew
my name is TL I am part of a blue print
crew and I’m also the coach for erotic
it’s basically the same thing but my
name is Lorena I’m also proud of blue
print crew and I’ve been the coach for
erotic for the past few years now you
guys work with a lot of great dancers
can you tell us what qualities make a
good dancer a lot of hard work a lot of
determination and passion is very
important it’s always difficult but it’s
definitely worth it there are so many
people making careers out of dance and
we never thought since we were Canadian
we can make it on America’s Best Dance
Crew we used to watch it on TV and wish
and dream but if you really push for it
and you really stick to something it
happened like we got second place to the
top two and and Canada couldn’t even
vote so that just shows that nothing is
impossible how did your experience
change the way you you look at dance and
how you choreograph your dances no the
experience in general just changed all
of our lives there’s been so many more
doors open and more opportunities for us
we’ve been include for seven years and
over the past few months things have
just been coming out as we really got to
learn a lot about each other a lot of
how to work in a group how to create
under pressure and even when we coach
erotic we you know when they come up
with excuses of injuries and they can’t
do it you know we had to put together
choreography every week a different one
no matter what injuries we had no matter
how tired we were we had to do it
because you have to be on TV the next
day so you got a push and there’s no
excuses how did you guys get in because
you guys are Canadian as you just
mentioned erratic has been participating
in the world hip-hop Championships
organized by hip-hop international who
is the creator of America
that’s cruel so what they did is they
contacted us they wanted a group from
Canada to see if it’s possible to bring
the show to Canada so then we went to
New York as blueprint and we auditioned
for it and then they loved it and they
wanted to bring us on the American show
so they got us visas and then through
that hard process we were able to make
it on the show what do you guys think
was your secret to making it so fun all
of us are very very close and we work
well together it definitely takes a lot
of communication because if you’re gonna
butt heads and argue in practice you’re
never gonna get anything accomplished
and we just really focused on cleaning
like SIA was very much focused on
cleaning us and just the discipline of
we know we’re there to work every time
we we had a number there was a there was
a vision behind it and is there anything
that wasn’t on the show that people
didn’t see that you’d like people to
know I don’t think they realize how much
work is put into these choreographies
because when I used to watch the show I
didn’t it didn’t click to me I’m like
wow they put together another
choreography but we have in the end like
three actual days to put together a
piece that’s gonna be broadcasted to
millions and millions of people it’s
just constant work you stopped just to
eat and sleep and you don’t sleep that
much so I don’t think they realize how
much is really put into everything and
if I think if they knew they’d have a
lot more appreciation for dancers in
general you also have a strong support
system behind us all the teams here
they’re really supporting us and
cheering us on from here although people
from Canada can vote like we we felt
their love and everything they were
always there for us
