I’m Ricky Tucci and today we’re going to
be speaking with Black Veil Brides
your debut just came out it’s very
exciting what can fat inspect on this
album my favorite and the more we’d like
to think is the best album of the year
[Music]
it’s got a little bit of everything it’s
very you know big course is very
anthemic and more than anything it’s
it’s a battle cry for people that feel
disenfranchised people that feel alone
it’s you know it’s it’s our way of
saying here’s 12 songs that are for you
and then for us
what was the writing process like it was
pretty quick to be honest I mean we all
didn’t bands for years and you know we
have all of us had kind of written
different stuff so we kind of brought it
all together and lyrically I wrote a lot
of stuff off of what jinx and Jake my
guitar players record itself kind of
came together in about three months but
you know it’s years of catalogue stuff
you guys have had a lot of online
success how does the internet help
develop your career huge it was
paramount to us being what we are not me
today the record came out its number one
in Australia number two in the rock
charts and in the u.s. it’s number three
in Canada I mean you know I sort of saw
early on that this was an opportunity
for me to take what I was feeling in the
music that I was making or what I wanted
to make and deliver it to a larger
audience because you know there’s
absolutely nothing it’s more powerful
than the ability to write a song or to
write even a message it’s sense to
someone in Australia from my couch in
the United States you know it’s it’s
it’s huge
what’s your live show like and explain
to us a little bit about what you’re
wearing right now if you witness the
show tonight you’ll see that our fan
base is very much like an army they
treat it as such you know it’s us
against the world it’s like our war
paint and the kids wear it too they have
the scar and the in the paint and you
know kind of makes us all
ultimately what you what you can see at
a KISS concert is a bunch of stuff blow
up and some old guys that can’t really
walk what you can see at a Black Veil
Brides concert is guys that put on one
hell of a show and bust their ass so you
know eventually we’ll blow shit up
where do you guys see Black Veil Brides
in the future there is no ceiling
I see Black Veil Brides as being the
biggest fan in the world and I think
that anyone that’s in a band if you
don’t see that then you should go do
something else if there’s if there’s
anything that you don’t want I’ll take
it if there’s any money that you don’t
want or fame or anything I’ll take it
because I think it’s our
responsibilities people that play music
to want to be as successful as possible
so that other people can see that
success and want to do it themselves I
mean if it wasn’t for Motley Crue or
kiss and their success I would have
never been as hungry as I was as a kid
to do what I do now I know it’s not it’s
not trying to be greedy it’s just trying
to take everything you can out of life
and I think that that’s everyone’s
responsibility we’re only here for so
long thanks so much Andy Thanks
