Arcadia Festival – Xbox 360: HDDVD

see I am in one of Microsoft’s sort of
boos they have set up here and what I’m
going to show you guys is something
isn’t out yet but I know a lot of you
were excited to see and that’s the HD
DVD add-on for the xbox 360 now here
they have the movie demoing it’s a fast
and furious then what’s not incredible
about this demo isn’t necessarily the
movie but it’s actually the quality in
which we’re seeing this will be playing
in so the HD DVD add-on appears to me to
be about one third of the size of the
actual xbox 360 and you see that they
have it here on display next to the 360
so you need some extra room your
entertainment unit so how’s this thing
now we do know that this does look up
via USB to the xbox 360 and apparently
uses a lot of its raw processing power
to sort of do this apparently there’s
over a million lines of code that they
needed to sort of get this thing up and
going for the 360 seeing that all of the
sort of integration is done in software
now I must say that it really is a nice
complement to the 360 following the same
sort of styling and it seems to have a
similar type of inhale type aesthetic as
the xbox 360 does what are the
interesting things about this is because
it’s an hd-dvd you have some features
that you find only on HD DVD and not
encouraged generation DVD so I’ll show a
couple of those to you right now
