I can feel it coming in the air and I
imagine an instrumental band with no
instruments naturally sevens vocal power
needs no backup welcome to watchmojo.com
I’m your host Layla and I just met up
with these world known chart-topping
artists to find out just how they do it
I’ve been waiting for this moment
hello I’m Warren I’m Dwight Garfield
Jamaal Roger Hobbs
rod you obviously all have so much
talent and you still have to work your
butts off just to get some kind of
visibility what are your impressions
about the amount of work you’ve had to
put in to make it despite your
incredible talent being a vocal band we
chose to work hard we have to work
harder than most bands because we are
the instruments and and the singers as
well that’s the way success comes with
anything there’s probably very few if
any true overnight success everything
comes from a lot of hard work and a lot
of diligence so we just realizes a part
of the game very few of us actually play
the instruments actually hardly any of
us with the exception of the bass man
right here they actually plays the bass
if studying the instrument and trying to
mimic that injury you do have to listen
to it and listen to players of that how
did the European market kind of heighten
your musical career we headed out to
Europe around 2003 and we had a couple
of number ones out there and some top
tens and I guess they were just a little
bit more open to what we were doing is
what we do is so different
touring with Michael Buble what’s that
like in terms of the audience if you
love music you’re probably gonna learn
vocals of some sort and the way that we
do it we have a different spin on it so
that makes it you know even more
interesting every word every ounce of
the show that they’re responding to and
that’s been a blessing as well what’s
the feeling of performing on the the
Paris Metro for like a small group of
interested people Paris subway the whole
whole idea some of this some of us I eat
myself was was against it I didn’t think
it was gonna be that that good and then
when we got on you know here in the
energy that Dwight had and with Jamal
came in and and finally won with the
high hats and finally I was like well
let me sing my part now we love it off
but a big crowd little crowd three or
four people a train they marry
cuz I can feel it coming
