of you have a sibling how many of you
have an older sibling well I have an
older sibling and she can be quite
annoying at times Eamonn is 10 years
older than me so she has a lot of life
experience she bosses me around
sometimes and tells me what to do but
recently I’ve been more and more
impressed by her hello my name is huff
Soros and i’m going to tell you about
how my sister became my everyday hero
when my sister was 17 she started a
program where people donated money to
help provide cute fluffy teddy bears
she then customized the teddy bears to
her shirts that said a smile across
smiles and she sent them to Gaza
Palestine
she chose teddy bears because they are
friendly and sweet and even though she
has no connection with Palestine
whatsoever
she chose to send it to them anyways
this was because Palestine was having a
very difficult time usually at 17 people
are thinking about school or clubs or
any other things but my sister was
thinking about scared starving homeless
children and Palestine and that takes
guts but she stopped a few years ago
because it was becoming too hard for her
this was because this was because of
overseas custom policies and because she
was a college student at Georgia Tech
but that didn’t stop her empathetic
spirit in fact she still shows it in
many other ways she takes part in the
Muslim Student Association she donated
to a food drive and a strong drive at
Georgia Tech for poor people where they
gave food and coats to people who
couldn’t afford it when she could have
been spending that money on jewelry or
new clothes so let me ask you this would
you rather spend 4 bucks on a latte or
use it to buy food for someone starving
across the world because if you stopped
getting coffee for one month you would
save about $120 and you could buy a lot
of meals for the needy people with that
money in my case I like buying
accessories but
my sister teaches me to spend that money
on the people in need and so when I give
up that money I’m hoping a lot of people
my sister is inspiring and an amazing
role model that is why I look up to her
she still guides me to this very day and
shows me the correct way to do things
which can help me a lot in the future
because of this I feel like my sister is
a great demonstrator of the elo design
principle service and compassion she
only got to donate about 50 teddy bears
to Palestine
so she inspires me to send more things
to more people into more places to make
kids understand that someone across the
world appreciates how hard they are
working to stay calm and now whenever I
see a kid holding a teddy bear it brings
me back to think how did the kids feel
when they got the teddy bear I guess
we’ll never know I can only hope it was
good
my sister inspires me and I want to show
that to the world
so not only is my sister my everyday
hero but she inspires me to become
someone else’s everyday hero as well
