Learning to Be a Friend to Yourself

We are very bad with ourselves.
Total and wildly cruel.
If we saw someone treating a stranger in the way we tend to treat ourselves, we would stay
horrified
We have to learn to be the least common of things: a true friend of ourselves. Being ours
own best friend
It does not look naturally; we need to practice by saying some of the following things:
You deserve to exist.
Nothing happens if you are wrong.
Can be forgiven
I know how you try and all the obstacles that you have had to overcome,
I do not care what others think;
You can be weak with me.
You can put the pot.
You can sink
You can be imperfect.
You can disappoint me.
I’m by your side: it excites me all the effort you’ve done and how deeply
you have suffered
You do not have to show me anything;
I do not need you to ‘be’ nobody …
I can love you just as you are, in spite of everything.
I am your best friend. Always.
I am right here.
