What It’s Like to Play Jesus | Killing Jesus

was very important for me to be as human
as possible in this portrayal that story
for me represents us humans us humanity
and the beauty of humanity and what
we’re capable of and our strengths and
resilience and you know the compassion
that were capable of the empathy and you
know what we’re able to do for one
another and help one another voices told
you I was coming
God speaking of me yes cousin until this
day while I’m a man of strong belief I

nothing more I didn’t want to go in the
direction of making him otherworldly it
was so important for me to play Jesus as
human as possible because that’s what he
was trying to do he was trying to show
humanity its beauty every scene
obviously will inform itself how would
you know typically one in his situation
be aside from the fact that he is the
son of God I comfort the sick when
they’re cured it’s by the hand of God
as desires as a human being his desires
that are no different from anybody else
if you cut him he’ll bleed that’s what
I’m talking about and so that to me is
no different for me playing any other
part to be as honest as possible and is
truthful and the circumstances given
each scene what’s happening and with
whom he is and you know and obviously
the surprise of it as he’s going through
it and I thought what was more important
is to focus on his humanity and how he
related with other people from that
place and I think that in the end was
his goal – if you really look at his his
teachings was all about humanity
