we had to make a decision about whether
to stay and assist people coming down or
whether to get ourselves off the
mountain and after 48 hours above 8,000
meters we were all withering away we
were all slowly dying we had only one
bottle of oxygen at no rope even with
those things trying to bring someone
down above 8,000 meters pretty much
impossible so a lot of people is missing
half the mountain and we are in camp for
headache sponsor meters we’re tired
exhausted we have to get down there’s
not much we can do this is not a guided
tour if they’re one person up there
though we could go up and 45 people we
do theatres and half a dozen people go
up and get down cannot do that with
newegg people it’s a reality of the
situation would you care for people
going on here need it not physically cut
people off his mom yeah we’ve been to
here two nights there already spending a
third night i’m not sure if i can get
down without oxygen you know we just
realized that we don’t have the manpower
we don’t have the strength to go up
there and risk our lives the thing you
can do now is to bring down the people
who has survived and get everyone safely
back to base camp hi this this theme of
death on k2 is unfortunately recurring
here um death during descent this
mountain is
notorious for this for the same scenario
unfortunately
