that moment where I am carried by Trey
and Dan and Stan and Mark who were the
four guys who who carry me from the Huey
up to the tail of the c-141 that’s about
to take me to Germany that moment where
I’m surrounded by all the members of
Task Force Ranger it’s it’s pretty
special I mean it’s to me in both ways
meaning they can visibly see that the
last man left behind it has now been
freed and I you know seeing the
manifestation of their unwavering
loyalty to me you know the sincere sense
of relief and joy that we all had that
this nightmare is over
and I couldn’t have written the script
any better than to have you know those
guys doing that and and drinking a toast
to all of us it wasn’t to me it was it
was to all of us that
you know that that phase of that that
mission in our lives had come to a close
and now we got to figure out where we go
from here
