Meet the Shark Men: Brett | National Geographic

this is Brett McBride he’s captain of a
ship called ocean but Brett’s not
content to just lounge around the
captains quarters
an elite fisherman he’s fished a large
part of the globe for the past 14 years
so when there’s a shark on the line he
jumps right in the thick of things get
that close slide those buoys down a
little bit from that tail right next to
that sharks face of course that’s what I
live for one two three four five got em
all
he knows it’s worth the risk but this is
a dangerous job given after all these
years of diving with sharks are still
part of me that has that deep fear in
the pit of my stomach you know in diving
with sharks it’s definitely a
possibility to get too chewed on it’s
good to have a healthy respect for these
2p carnivores not only can the true get
hurt so can the Sharks the fine line
with with catching him and keeping them
alive
and keep it up healthy making sure
people are doing their job really fast
among the best what they do
he and crew leader Chris Fisher have
caught a lot of sharks DejaVu yeah man
I’ve been here before and they wouldn’t
do it if they didn’t love it right Brett
yeah awesome working with those guys
it’s great working here discovering this
stuff
together with all these guys
