Foiled by a Balloon | National Geographic

now even in science rules are there to
be broken and I’m about to prove just
that this is a weird question honey if
you got a microwave i can borrow this
one here i’m always up for a bit of
microwave madness so I’ve asked the
owners of this party store to lend me
their microwave but I haven’t told them
why I need it just yet come here got
something to show you’re gonna love it
it’s fantastic right there one round
stop no no don’t worry yeah trust me
don’t worry about its fine right no but
not in the motorway I don’t don’t do
that why not not meadow in it no I know
I know I know you should put metal
things in the microwave if I turn that
on right with this in here what’s gonna
happen to the balloon it’s gonna burn
and blow up what’s gonna happen to it
it’s gonna burn it’s gonna explode foil
balloons are made of polyester covered
in a layer of metal so no wonder the
ladies are a little nervous but what
will happen when I push the button for
just two seconds will the microwave
explode when the balloons vaporize in a
flash of light will the balloon shrink
or will the balloons catch fire
