First Day in the Fossil Chamber (Expedition Update) | National Geographic

it’s time to go into the final chamber
of the cave
and stop pulling out the fossils all
right good luck yo today we’re going
down to the cave in shifts and so with
what we’ve got the first group slowly
rotating out cuz even just getting all
the way by from from command center down
down into the cave takes pretty minute
but you know you don’t notice the time
when you’re down there
from the command center I can monitor
whatever the cavers doing excavating
going down caves and I can talk across
the system through the communication
center so this is where it all happens
the first one to do the initial scan and
then brought the hard drive up to the
center so they’ve just walked through
the the actual initializing and
registration of the scan and even though
I look at it think all I could have done
a better job now they’re really pleased
with the resolution so it looks like
it’s a go oh my gosh the quality of this
guide like on the imaging like that
machinery is fantastic we can see the
demolitions we can see we can’t we see
like really it’s not it’s like when they
had the Alvin go down to see the right
and you see the first and that was
nothing to get the Titanic this this is
the real deal frontier
