boy I’m Dallas Seavey I’m a professional
sled dog racer in 2012 I finished in
front of my dad and became the youngest
person ever to win the Iditarod come on
guys
hi Dallas everything he knows but I
haven’t taught him everything I know
so Dallas is just gonna have to stay out
of my way
y’all get used to being up there Dallas
it isn’t gonna last my dad showed up at
our kennel to train his sled dogs and of
course
it turned into a competition within
minutes but we have the home-field
advantage on this race I have no doubt
in my mind that I will come back into
the yard before my dad does it’s not
over until he’s scooping my dogs in the
yard are you serious my dad just slides
right in front of me cuts me off no turn
signal or anything but you know what
this is a long dog race maybe I’ll get
my lead dogs a little bit of a break
just getting to chase him for a bit
come on guys looking good Faxon
I’m not worried about my dad being in
front of me as far as a race is
concerned I know I can pass him back
later
but it is kind of scary looking at those
dogs in front of me he does have a
really nice dog team
you get used to that beautiful back here
aren’t you
I’m sure Dallas thinks he’s gonna win
this race no he knows he’s gonna win
this race but he’s wrong out there on
the dog trail anything can happen
gee – all right boys let’s go get em
boys
boy dinner you got a good boy
well I’m in the lead of the race and I’m
coming down this good part of the trail
and all of a sudden I see a bootie
coming off of one of my dogs Burt I just
don’t want to have a Ryan without a
bootie on this kind of trail so it’s
worth it to take a couple of seconds and
put that bootie back on see you later
