watching your videos I think they’re
amazing and very inspiring
I didn’t pay to say that did I thank you
I am a high school student and I’m
thinking a lot about my future lately I
was often told to go to college but I
don’t think that is the road for me so
many people are getting a degree that
later in the future having a degree
won’t be enough for the job many young
people finished college with huge debt I
don’t want that type of luggage on my
back so it’s college really worth it and
I also got another question from someone
who says they are very artistically
talented they are into fashion design
but now they want to move more into
holistic health but they find their ego
creeping in because they’ve invested so
much time and energy on focusing all
their attention on fashion design and
getting the course finished right ok
where should we start let me share with
you what’s helped me along my journey
why College will be fantastic for you or
why College will be healthy you
I went to university at the age of 17 at
the age of 17 I walked into a room and
said goodness gracious
where have I just landed thank goodness
I was young too right because I wasn’t
thinking too clearly I wasn’t thinking
with a lot of clarity I just I just
thought okay that’s the right thing to
do because I was told growing up if
you’ve got a title right people would
look at you more favorably oh you’re a
doctor you’ve got a PhD right you’ve got
a master’s you got a degree you’re
someone in society without that you’re a
nobody
so that was my whole mindset when I was
17 a long long long long long time ago
right so the first year I was told there
was supposed to be a lot of parties
right and that never happened well there
was it was a few parties right it was
pretty fun but as the years were going
on
it wasn’t easy lots of stress lots the
deadlines you see many people will
benefit they will benefit from a college
degree if you’re gonna use him
you see it’s all about asking yourself
is it gonna serve me in the long run
because after I graduated right I felt
pretty useless to be honest okay because
I realized that a lot of people where I
was working as a psychologist in the
school some of them they were getting
way more than me and they didn’t even go
to university but they had the
experience right they had been there for
like six years they just left as soon as
they finished school at 16 they were
working they had the experience so they
were supervising me telling me what to
do and stuff I’m like hey I just
graduated sit down I’m like okay right
so you don’t want to be overqualified
many people like Bill Gates didn’t go to
all they didn’t go to college right they
didn’t graduate but at the same time
he he earns a lot of money just a little
bit of money right Steve Jobs Richard
Branson see you don’t need a college
degree if you know what you came here to
do but why a college degree may help you
is that it allows you to show off to
people right it gives you that
credibility sometimes when people want
to get slick I’ll just say well I’m a
psychologist I’m a criminologist trust
me I’m a doctor right it gives you that
kind of credibility where people might
find you to be more believable because
you’re a doctor when you’re eating
donuts don’t worry about it right you
can show off but also it gives you that
experience of having the college
experience right we we often see films
about the college experience where
people are partying and really it’s not
like that often times you just in the
library all by yourself can I get a
hello many people do end up in a lot of
debt when we talk about student loans
you got to be very wise you see a lot of
my friends even I had huge student loans
to pay back not huge because when I went
to university it was a lot cheaper now
it’s really expensive I was paying three
thousand a year when I went and the next
year the government changed it right to
three thousand a term right it’s
semester whatever so nine thousand a
year
okay 27 27 27 thousand pounds we’re
talking about UK here right so we’re
talking let’s just say fifty thousand
plus the loan you’re gonna take out
another fifty thousand twenty-five
thousand right if you’re living away
from home it adds up and you’ve got to
pay that back so that’s why a lot of
people come out of college but they’re
not so happy because they realize when
they get a job
a percentage of what they’re earning has
to go back to pay their student loan
they were using to buy booze with right
and party with oh yeah you forgot about
those nights right well the cat down the
road remembers those nights because the
cat down the road was walking with you
on your way home right so you got to
realize ask yourself this that what is
stopping me from creating what I want to
create I didn’t need a degree to create
infinite waters which is super abundant
right now he’s just growing larger and
larger every single day right I didn’t
need to go to college for that but it
helped me because I was studying
psychology and what I make most of my
videos about are psychology human
behavior so I have bucket loads of
information and knowledge because that’s
what I studied for so once again it
actually served me in the long run so I
don’t have any regrets about going to
college in fact I’m happy I went at the
same time when I when I was at college
right can US had released the college
dropout okay and he said this guy
graduated at the top of my class I went
to cheese cake he was a mother-effing
waiter there right lots of people
overqualified and they end up working uh
you know just the shop where they don’t
even need to be there you know and
sometimes that happens because you see
they’re on a ton of jobs waiting for you
right even if you have a degree you’ve
got to create your own job that’s where
you become an entrepreneur right but you
have to realize if you realize that you
are here for a higher calling because
you said you feel there’s more well go
with your heart go with your gut and
realize that you are probably gonna help
yourself out in the long run don’t just
listen to me or your parents or the cat
down the road no think for yourself
right and go with
your heart and realize look some people
when I was at college some people were
university if you want to call it that
yeah some people were like 65 studying
with me right
some people were 40 some people were 38
all different ages because if you don’t
go to college now it doesn’t mean that
you can’t go in the future
so do what you want to do now and maybe
maybe you might want to go to college
then go to college if not you don’t need
to go to college get my drift
right but you got to realize what the
word degree means emanating from the
latin d gratis which means a step down
right the gratis means a step down so
you only have one degree out of 360 you
see so the educational trap not only are
you in financial debt but once again
it’s never enough even if you’ve got a
degree now you want a master’s then you
want a PhD right then you want to become
a professor right and then you find you
spend all your time in a job which is
just studying researching but what are
you actually doing to contribute to
humanity right look at Richard Branson
look all of these people who didn’t go
to college but have created supreme
abundance doing what they love so once
again go with your heart don’t feel
guilty about not going to college cuz
you can go to college at any time but
just ask yourself how are you using your
time because you don’t use money to buy
stuff you used hours of your life to buy
stuff if you are in college and you’re
not happy it’s making you feel miserable
you don’t need to be there in fact in in
the second year one of my friends just
left he walked out and I was like oh my
gosh I’m all alone right cuz he knew it
wasn’t for him and I actually I was
clapping I commended his bravery for for
doing it because I was having moments of
like I want to leave out of here
I was so far in it was hard to get out
and IMAP I see so I just went with the
flow right but once again to the one if
you’re in high school to you that asks
that right just look go with your heart
go with your intuition and to the
fashion designer hey you are
artistically talented you can still be a
fashion designer and be a holistic
health coach right you can weave it in
but once again you gotta remind yourself
you can’t serve two masters you’ve got
to ask yourself which one is the most
energy generating for you go with that
