in the first Olympics the athletes that
won a race they wouldn’t get medals no
gold medal no no no no they would get a
laurel wreath around their head and then
four years would pass and what would
happen they would come back and the
athletes who are like oh I made it
they stopped raining they weren’t
walking as hard and they didn’t win
again and they didn’t get a laurel
wreath so the expression don’t rest on
your laurels comes from the first
