How to Make: Double Shot Crossbow V.2 / Glass Breaker Ammo – Dishonored 2

hey everyone what’s going on today I’m
going to show you how to make this micro
crossbow last week I showed you all the
materials and parts you’ll need and also
a firing demo and you can see that I
made a few modifications I added another
bow piece here to make it a little bit
stronger and also this little clothespin
acts like a automatic rotating feature
so I’ll show you real quick you fire it
once and then you would press this
little button here rotates and you fire
again and then to reset it you just turn
it like so and reload
[Music]
so I’ll show you guys how to build one
for yourself oh wow all right there we
go that’s crazy it’s going through the
balloons and into the foam in the back
that is powerful I am satisfied
so you can see I added a little bit more
attention in the actual bowstrings and I
think that’s going to add a little bit
more power but it does make it
challenging to get the right amount of
tension or you can still use your
fingers to pull back the string because
if it gets too tight and you can’t
actually do this and so you have to play
around with the tolerances a little bit
but I think that’s going to up the power
and strength of each shot I’m going to
see if we can break this glass I know
that it’s possible oh well a glass just
came flying towards my face so this
thing is not playing around it’s
definitely some decent power whoa that
is a little bit dangerous let’s do it
again the dart actually exploded let’s
add a little bit of superglue on to the
tip here just to hold that in I kind of
like this this is fun safety is number
one priority or safety thick all right
let’s try this again this is really fun
I think we can keep breaking it but I’m
going to show some mercy
and honestly I don’t want to break this
down anymore because a lot of broken
glass but you can see this thing not so
much a toy if you really could be
diligent with it but please be careful
always wear safety glasses and you know
obviously this was just a test the
extreme is kind of like an experiment
and you can tell this thing is pretty
powerful so to make the arrows it’s
really simple and the fun thing about
this is since you’re building it on a
miniature scale it’s really easy to
modify these in really cool ways so I
think next week I’m going to show you
all sorts of upgrades that I have I may
incorporate some 3d printing but for the
most part it’s going to be stuff that
you can find in the household or like
firework stuff like that a lot of you
express that you want to see explosive
tip bolts and then I have some other
ideas that I’m going to try out as well
for the arrows this is kind of what it
looks like up close
you can see I added a little bit of tape
right at the end and I’ll go ahead and
build one right now for you so we’ll
just go ahead and match them up just
take your Clippers starts to splinter
like this just remove it doesn’t really
matter but whenever you add your tape
it’s going to kind of laminate
everything set it on one side and I
guess you could just fold it over
like this it’s not really what I did
before but it works just as good and cut
off the end here clean these edges up so
that it’s nice and flat and then you’re
going to take your scissors and cut down
the side of both of them to about there
[Music]
then take your clippers I think these
are the best honestly because you really
can’t get close enough to the arrow for
you to use the scissors so you just kind
of clip this portion here and the reason
I’m doing it here on the back is because
this will actually overhang on the
barrel and if I wasn’t to cut those
little portions off on the back here you
have the problem where this string would
lift up the arrow and go underneath it
it would just misfire every time so I
found that that was beneficial and you
can make all sorts of variations so this
spike is from the wrench mask I was
going to incorporate this but I just
kind of found that there were some
problems with getting these to adhere
correctly and quite honestly I wanted to
do my own rendition of it and I liked
the mask that I have currently so I
didn’t end up using these but for this
project this makes a really awesome
glass breaker type of ammo and you just
basically cut off the tip and screw it
on so now we’re going to be preparing
the limbs of the crossbow and you’re
basically just going to drill out that
little rivet that’s going to allow this
thing to open up and you’re going to
need a drill in order to do so so we
have one here it doesn’t matter what
size just as long as it’s not
obnoxiously annoying and you don’t want
to basically drill through the table so
I’m just using this little portion of a
wrench as a makeshift anvil
[Music]
so little rivet might still be in there
are you all right so now that we have
the rivet drilled out we’re going to
need to remove this center piece now
this is actually going to serve as the
arrow retention spring so you’re going
to want to break it somewhere so you
have enough room it’s hard to get in
there totally to the edge but see right
there that’s plenty of room right here
we’re going to have that little v-shape
going upward and then you’re going to
kind of want to bend it however so that
you have a nice little spring holding
the arrow in place so first we’re going
to build the barrel and attach the limbs
so you don’t want to cut out four pieces
here for the barrel they’re about three
and a half inches long and little
attachment portions here for the limbs
are about an inch long also you’re going
to want to leave a small gap in between
the two pins I use a little bit of
sandpaper to scuff up the end so that
whenever you lay it down it has a better
surface to adhere to with the glue
[Music]
so this is the final product I guess you
could say for the bow
[Music]
you also may want to add some more glue
here
[Music]
so now we’re going to take a small
rounded file and I’ll leave a link in
the description if you want to pick up a
set of these they’re really helpful this
is going to be used to carve out a nice
little flight groove on the barrel on
both sides all right so there’s that you
can see so now I’m just going to kind of
transfer over the size distance for the
little notch which is going to basically
serve as the mechanism to hold the
bowstring and it’s about two point five
six inches or 65 millimeters carve out
that little notch on both sides exacto
knife just sort of plunge down into it
and then I went diagonally to get that
little chip notch out of there I have a
little triangular file and there’s a
whole bunch of them in this packet here
it’s a really nice little thing and I
could just go like this and go ahead and
make that a nice little groove if I want
to go a little bit more just to clean it
off nice so now we’re going to install
the arrow retention spring this little
piece right here and you can see pretty
straightforward how that’s going to work
we’re just going to do the same thing on
this one so we’re going to glue down
first
this piece here your second piece and
then you’re going to sandwich your other
one like so you want that little V
portion to be facing up so now we’re
going to be prepping the barrel for the
little swivel portion we don’t want to
take your brass fastener and get it nice
and rough and up by some sandpaper to
give it a nice surface to adhere to and
you’re going to heat up the lighter end
shove it into that hole and basically
that’s going to just clear it out so
that you can eventually
glue these four pieces together and then
we’re going to drill a hole through
those and that’s going to be this
portion right here
and so the brass fastener is going to go
through that and then you’re going to
use some superglue or maybe some more
hot glue super glue is probably best to
push that back in and lock it all up
nice and tight so that you have that
swole portion as a tip you take a
lighter and a rubber band and then that
will keep it lit and it’s on fire so
that’s probably a good sign it’s ready
and then you just want to kind of jam
that thing in there be careful you don’t
want to like bend it now you’re going to
be removing this a couple times because
you want to get that hole pretty much
cleared out so that this is ready
because once you drill a hole through
those four pieces earlier and you only
have one shot really to make this work
that’s about the distance you just want
to make sure that that is centered and
also that that’s going to have enough
room to sit down and seat while it’s
basically holding these four together
these are going to be glued and then
drilled and then maybe add some super
glue to keep it really nice and snug
so I took those five pieces glued them
together and thing I’m going to do is
just glue these and then it’ll be way
easier to just attach the whole entire
unit to the back here just going to go
right there add a little bit of hot glue
and if you want to add a little bit got
a drizzle it drizzle it down in there
nice and deep black but I need to
drizzle it it’s a fun word okay so I
went ahead and put this clothespin here
I like this because it locks the barrel
in place and I don’t have a problem with
the manual rotating I think it works
perfectly fine but if you want to have
that added effect I’ll show you how that
mechanism works so we have these side
panels that I still haven’t installed
yet you can see they overhang just a
little bit now what you’re going to do
is take two of them and you’re going to
offset this so you have one side that’s
pointing up and the other side that’s
pointing down you’re also going to build
this little platform here you’re going
to take one two three four of these as
kind of a boost and then you’re going to
add a roof three of these things a
little thumbtack on the top and here on
the side three of the rubber bands
another two here just to add a little
bit stronger grip on this thing here you
would rotate this and so what’s
happening is that’s getting caught on
that offset one on the left side and
when you press this in it lets that go
past and then when you release it it
stops again right there so this last
part is for the ammo compartment take
our file this is a rounded file and
we’re going to go in between all of
these grooves here you would glue this
on top and that’s going to be similar to
this little design but it’s not spring
enough so what we did is took the file
again made a small little notch there
and you can see it creates a little bit
of a bend in that and you can always add
more rubber bands it’s going to give us
a nice little tension spring that’s good
and try this out see if it’ll hold our
darts now we’ll keep everything solid
now when you load these in you don’t
want to go all the way back otherwise
it’ll skip so you want it to be right
around here all right so you saw how
cool this glass breaker animal is really
powerful for something so small and I
really want to experiment with other
types of ammo so leave a comment below
and also answer the poll up top I’ll
have some choices for you to choose from
and if you would be so kind to join the
notification squad that way you can be
here when I first release I’m usually
very active around that time and you can
have all your questions answered if
they’re specific I think that with this
other type that I introduce to you at
the beginning of the video there’s this
little rotating portion here and that
works decently but it’s not perfected
yet
so we’re probably going to turn to 3d
printing and yeah this is really bulky
so you know the first rendition the
first prototypes not always going to be
so pretty but it does work so you guys
like that feature and you want me to
include it in the other future versions
leave a comment below so what we did
today was upgraded the strength of the
bow we add a little bit more tension in
the bend and the bowstring itself we
also add this little lock here and also
showed you how to assemble the whole
thing this little ammo compartment here
in the back I think that’s kind of
innovative as well so leave your
comments below that really helps me know
what you guys want to see and also
basically any other types of projects
that you think would be cool right now
I’m focusing on current event projects
or things that I think are going to be
popular in the near future that way the
search terms are going to be basically
at an all time high whenever there’s a
movie release or a new game release
things like
fat so if you make suggestions those are
probably gonna be the ones that I’m
going to take into account and probably
move forward with thank you so much for
watching and as always take it easy
where is it written dreams must be small
