How to Make: DESTINY Mau’ual’s Mauler Shield – Part 1 GreekGadgetGuru @ Techshop PGH

welcome back everyone thank you so much
for tuning in I really do appreciate it
and I love you all for your continued
support this week I got the awesome
opportunity to work with my friend Josh
who is a very talented welder you can
see some more of his work on his
Instagram page go ahead and follow him
at weld crafted and I think you’d really
appreciate that also we’re going to be
working out of text shop Pittsburgh
because they have all of the
metalworking equipment and also the
welding area which is where josh is
definitely going to come in handy he is
awesome and I’m learning a lot of
different things as far as technique and
just a way to work with these types of
different projects there’s some new
tools that he’s got it’s hands-on
through coming a Pittsburgh and tech
shop so it’s exciting and a learning
experience for the both of us I hope
that you enjoy this build please leave a
comment below and let me know what you
think at the end of the video

right
[Music]
we have these pieces all dunzo now I
just need to get a larger piece of metal
16 gauge steel you know weld all the
pieces together and I’m going to touch
flamethrower
I wanted freaking badass more so
[Music]
[Music]
now what I’m doing now is I’m creating a
tiny little hole for whenever I bend it
it will be a lot easier
whenever I’m shearing I’ll have
something to go into and I’ll cut off
you can do this with a drill honestly
I’m just taking advantage of the things
that we have here

my coat
[Music]
how I fix these ones who gave it room I
should have given it all room to meet up
that’s just something you learned you
could have drawn a line cut right there
he probably flipping he probably would
have lined up it by the line up
perfectly so just really want to see
really that’s all I try to do really is
cutting and I cut it and then you can
probably go back for the camera and all
these are going to get flattened out the
way I make my work I don’t use tables I
use a grinder a table and a welder
that’s how I’ve ever done any of my
orders ending of my fabrication really
I’ve used this year but I’ve never used
that before so it’s been a fun
experience you know working with it I’m
excited to get some better products
now that I actually have an idea of how
to use it but don’t worry this thing is
going to be sick once I’m done
[Music]
let’s go back
[Music]
at the copper and I’m just going to fill
this in to the welding material isn’t
going to stick to the copper so it’s
actually going to like kind of fill in
the gap right yes
that’s loaded I like that I love a nice
day
[Music]
now if you haven’t noticed I’m using a
state torch some of you might know what
that is some of you don’t the way that a
cake torch works is I make a little
puddle and I feed in a filler wire now
Midwich I’m sure most or every one of
you have heard of it’s a guy now where
this will arc and cause it to but this
one I have a lot more control I can see
my gap I can do a lot different metals
usually you would use a dabbing motion
and make perfect little beads but I’m
like I said I’m grinding this all the
way just laying that rod in there and
I’m moving it ever so slightly up and
just burning it in there that’s you know
that’s pretty much what it looks like
when you do that on nicer pieces if the
welds showing I’ll make it so much more
prettier than that so don’t you can’t
even judge me on that yeah that’s pretty
much it if you have more questions now
I’ll ask them to leave them in the
comments and now I’ll let you know like
what I actually do can have YouTube up
but right now I’m just working with gear
and we’re just getting four more done
when you can follow me at well to craft
it on my Instagram lots of cool stuff on
for work if you ever make this or do a
lot of bending or anything you’ll see
that there’s you know pretty much you’ll
always get a big gap if it’s not perfect
if you don’t really know what you’re
doing and the way that I kind of counter
it if you’re by yourself or you don’t
have a lot of clams I put a pretty fat
tag on there I’ll push on it and pull up
on this and then heat up that that tack
so that it will flatten and be flush
with itself
and now it’s now it’s more flush going
up all right now at my last wheel I’m
going to just clean all these welds off
make it nice flush migraine there’s a
finish on this metal it goes this way so
I’m gonna make sure that I keep the
grain update during the same way to do
it doesn’t you know counter with each
other and I can make it pretty much look
like one piece

your scripts and pops contain yeah all
the time I don’t have a dishwasher well
how many people don’t have a dishwasher
nowadays
