hey guys this Greek gadget guru here’s
my finished fallout3 shish kebab it runs
off of Zippo butane canisters that are
1.4 ounce 42 grams and it’s connected to
a hose barb that goes through a piece of
PVC that’s half-inch goes up to a valve
right here which is airtight and it get
releases through this other piece of of
copper which has little holes cut in it
just enough to release the gas you don’t
want to actually have a real hole you
don’t want to be able to see inside of
the tube because that weakens the
structure just enough to allow gas
through so that goes to this little
piece here which is a hook that I made
out of a hanger hanger wire that hooks
around to the other side of the PVC I’m
sorry to the other side of machete which
is a Gerber Gator it has a saw and a
blade side looks pretty cool and this is
supposed to be 100% cotton string but
it’s actually a combination between
cotton and polyester polyester burns a
little bit quicker so you want to look
for just 100% cotton string what you do
with the string is you soak it with
lighter fluid like this and this acts as
the main kind of like keeps the flame
going in case the lighter goes out in
case the flame goes out from like wind
blowing or whatever your not to keep
pressing this this will just continue
and re relight everything else so I’ll
show you that real quick it looks pretty
sweet so here’s a lighter
yeah and it just goes up a flame like
that looks pretty sick and goes up just
like that
it’s real simple you want to be sure see
how it charted already you’re going to
be sure to get as much lighter fluid and
soak this as much as possible because
otherwise the string will burn very
quickly so I’ll show you that again it’s
going to be my god
there we go now that’s what I’m talking
about goes out real simple on the other
side you have the blade and the grill is
what I call it because of just the way
the flame comes out you have a hose barb
I think it’s a 1/4 inch hose barb I’ll
show you guys the exact part numbers and
everything later but this is a piece of
half-inch PVC that’s been cut in half
and it’s just been layered to act as
anchor and that’s just been jammed into
a piece of 3/4 inch PVC
the machete comes like this so you can
actually take the handle off and clean
the blade or whatever you need to do
with it nice and it ends in a while when
you take it off so what I did is I took
the two pieces of PVC cut about a half
inch one and a half inch slit and then
just jammed it up on there and anchored
it with some hot glue just to keep
everything solid this is just insulation
for piping as a grip some black duct
tape and piece of PVC section that just
keeps this anchor down just like that
and I cut a little niche in it to hold
the end of the actual polyester string
whatever it’s called this is just an
anchor made of PVC it’s like a you half
it’s piece of 3/4 inch PVC cut in half
then two pieces of half-inch PVC cut in
half and stack on each other that sits
really well on this lighter which I go
in eBay for about $3 it’s actual nice
looks cool well oh that’s just some hose
clamps I’m sorry zip ties this is a hose
clamp to keep the Zippo canister on nice
thing about the Zippo is when you hold
it straight up like you would normally
with the blade nothing really happens it
just kind of escapes like a gas when you
hold it this way the same way it does in
my flamethrower it releases all the
gases of liquid so when you’re holding
it straight up like this it’s normal
when you go to attack someone the blade
I’m sorry the Zippo fluid becomes
liquefied and it just shoots through the
sword giving it a lot bigger flame when
you go to attack someone so you’re not
wasting your gas the entire time and I
don’t know why I’m talking like I’m
actually going to use this this is just
a prop and it happens to work so it’s
pretty cool I’ll show you real quick how
the actual flame works so you push this
in and you want to strength um if you do
decide to make this you have to make
sure that when you cut this down I
didn’t take very good measurements I
kind of just eyeballed it but you have
to make sure that all these are airtight
because you can hear the gas leaking
inside this handle so I had to plug that
up with some more hot glue and it’s just
a little sloppy but it still works so
what you do is you would push this in
and anchor it down with the hose clamp
so that there’s pressure built up but
it’s not going to be released until you
turn this nozzle that’s one of the
mistakes I made so what you do is you
push it in you can hear if you put if
you hold it like this and hear the gas
we saw can and then when you push it in
more it goes through the other cycles
when you push it when you hold it
horizontally you’re attacking someone
there we go see how that can you hear
that phizzer
that’s the gas being released as a
liquid there you go
