hey everyone here’s a pretty cool
crossbow that I think everyone can build
I considered a crossbow even though it
uses rubber bands because it has a
trigger if you watch whenever I pull
back the bowstring you get some Bend out
of the boat itself and I think that
that’s storing some energy adds to the
power of the shot so I’ll go ahead and
load it up and then shooting these pens
which you can store three on the front
which i think is nice and my target you
just press down the binder clip and goes
right in it’s pretty cool I’ll shoot it
again pretty simple to load cool two for
two
I actually went in the same spot so I
know if we count it but it’s actually
pretty powerful and I think because it
has sort of a hybrid between a slingshot
and a crossbow that’s where you’re
getting a little bit extra energy so
I’ll show you guys real quick how to
build it for this project you’ll need
one large binder clip 13 medium for
micro a pen rubber bands you don’t
notice pliers and regular pliers first
you want to start by taking apart your
large binder clip and you’re going to
get this portion this is going to be
your bow so you want to sort of bend
these outward not way you get this shape
here also you want to add one more Bend
and that’s going to hold your upper
bands in a little notch here you can see
the comparison what it looks like before
and after so you want to add one more
Bend right around here and that way you
get a nice notch for your over bands to
stay okay then you want to take your
binder clip put on your rubber bands and
then take the bottom tab off so that way
you have the portion that hooks into
your trigger next you want to start with
a barrel this is what you’re basically
going to have it’s going to be four
sections this is going to be the end of
your
crossbow and you’re going to connect
these together
real simple basically you just open them
up and hook them into each other and
then as you go across those sort of
build into your barrel and you want to
have one last one hanging off the edge
so you’re going to have four on one side
four on the other and in the middle is
going to be five this is going to be
your last one here which is where you
attach your trigger making the trigger
is really simple
every binder clip has this little tab
here which you can see on the larger one
but basically it’s this little piece of
the hook metal and what you do on the
micro one is you bend that down okay now
what I mean by that is see out here
I’ll have that little hook see if I can
focus and that ya see that little hook
and that’s what acts as your trigger
that’s what hooks onto the end of this
micro binder clip on the bowstring okay
so you want to install that last you
want to take your bow and add a micro
binder clip like that okay and then you
want to have it hanging there so that it
goes in like that and then you twist now
it’s locked in now to keep that from
wiggling around you’re going to take two
more of the micro binder clips and
you’re going to put one here just like
that
I keep that tab on the inside because it
keeps the Pens from falling out and then
you want to remove this one and then
I’ll show you on the finished crossbow
you want to take your micro bond your
clip tab put it back onto the bow and
then use your needle nose pliers to
reinstall it on the micro binder clip
and you want to do that on both sides
and that way you get a support structure
that
keeps it from wiggling around and adds a
little bit of support to the bow itself
then you can put your pen angle in the
front and pull back this right here is
going to clip onto your little hook that
you made and that’s your trigger system
so I’ll show you again one last test and
just take this little you know so you
pull this back and it walks in place and
take your ammo take off the tap the cap
and then you press the tab down like I
showed and that’s how you fire perfect
so I hope you guys enjoy the video let
me know what you think I think it’s a
pretty easy project everyone can do it
thanks for watching
