hey everyone today I’m going to be doing
a review of the me cough rescue knife
it’s basically like the Swiss Army knife
of saving lives except it was imported
from the Czech Republic this is probably
my favorite knife in my collection right
now and I’ll show you its features first
the box you can see it says rescue knife
in Russian Czech and German this is like
their I guess coat of arms or stamp I’m
not exactly sure then it says here when
life is at stake
so can I understand what it says but it
says that there in English and the
company was established in 1794 which is
pretty cool there’s their logo and I
guess this is the company address stop
the boring stuff out of the way here it
is now the handle is made out of like a
cutting board material which is great
because it’s lightweight it’s also got a
nice script to it and it’s easy to clean
it’s not gonna corrode or anything like
that
now you flip this switch up it’s a
little latch and you press down it’s a
switch blade it is incredible
it feels so smooth it’s just like ah
it’s so satisfying
now you notice the blade here has a
really interesting style that’s actually
perfect for cutting fibrous material
like a seat belt or maybe you need to
remove clothing someone needs to have
their heart restarted by a defibrillator
so here I just have some paracord I want
to show you how easy it is to cut
through it I think they made this
specifically this way
I guess this these little grooves here
act like teeth to really bite into it
now I also have some of this which is
called Kevlar thread it’s used for like
spearfishing and stuff like that it’s a
little bit tougher but not too bad
so it’s pretty awesome becomes very
sharp out-of-the-box other thing about
it is it doesn’t have a sharp tip which
makes so much sense for a rescue knife
because imagine going to save someone
and accidentally harming them that would
make no sense so that’s really cool
feature I like this because first of all
switch blades are kind of taboo
supposedly they’re legal in Pennsylvania
according to like the way you look at
the law I’m not exactly sure but this is
just for collection purposes I doubt
I’ll ever actually use this but I
definitely have the ability to save the
day now the next thing is I guess you
could just see this really nice belt
clip right here is a walking glass
cutter awesome now there’s six different
glass cutting wheels I guess you would
unscrew this and change it so that if
one gets dull but imagine you don’t want
to break the glass to save someone like
their window so what you would do is you
would probably cut around a portion and
reach in and open up the door that’s my
guess I don’t know exactly but that’s
cool so that locks in place and at the
end of the day you can have yourself a
nice cold bar open it up with this
little bottle opener here and that has a
latch there like a little lock so you
just close that now I thought that was
it until I was messing around and
there’s also this little portion here
which acts like a hammer for breaking
windows I don’t really know exactly if
there’s a purpose for like the other
side for breaking window I don’t know
exactly but I guess you could do it this
way to anything any nice like blunt
striking surface is probably good for
breaking windows but specifically this
one has a really fine point and it’s
beveled so you can also
break or break the or pop the airbag
that’s deployed so you can take care of
that and then I don’t know what this
little I don’t understand what’s shaped
like that I think it’s just so you can
maybe grab it this way or I don’t know
exactly but either way this is really
awesome it was a hundred and fifty
dollars but for a knife like this I
think it’s worth it it’s really unique
it’s actually could do some good to save
someone potentially I don’t think I’d
ever have this in my car because I feel
like I have to look into law a little
bit better cuz the guy who told me that
said first of all this guy was at a gun
show
he had a lazy eye and he’s very sketchy
character and he told me that in the
state of Pennsylvania the law clearly
reads basically in his interpretation as
long as you are not caught while
committing a crime with a switchblade
they’re illegal to own and use but you
can’t be doing any illegal stuff while
you are possession of one that’s what
creepy sketchy lazy eye man said at the
gun show so I’m gonna take his word for
it anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this
review this is definitely one of my
favorites leave me a comment below
letting me know what you think and if
there’s anything else that you would
like me to do review on also leave a
comment because I love gadgets like this
and I love sharing them with you guys
that’s all I have for today so as always
take it easy
