Chenlong Infrared Induction Lighter Review

everyone here is a lighter review this
is the Chen long infrared ray induction
lighter it runs off of butane and it has
a little electric igniter that runs off
of three of these button cell batteries
here these are actually replacement
batteries so they were nice enough to
give you an extra set but it’s basically
a knockoff of the original Calibri beam
sensor this is a much older lighter it’s
out of out of continuation they don’t
make these anymore so if you want to
find something like this you’ll have to
go to an eBay auction and search that
usually these come usually the auctions
and around 50 to 100 dollars so they can
be very expensive but this was really
versatile for its time because Calibri
like to use battery and electric
piezoelectric igniters in their lighters
and butane was starting to become
popular at this time so it’s a pretty
cool concept basically you have your
little beam sensor little area here you
open this up it turns red you break the
beam with your thumb and electrics
igniter will start and ignite the fuel
so that’s the old version the one that
you can buy today is the Chen long
knockoff Chinese version so it’s pretty
decent build this one I think was twenty
dollars it’s like a polished stainless
steel or a polished chrome and then this
is kind of like a different texture of a
polished chrome it’s like a brushed
chrome and this is polished and then the
top you have this little button that
looks like a lock but it actually
doesn’t really lock it just there for
looks and it turns on the laser and you
can hear the hissing of the gas and then
electric igniter starts and you have
your flame and it’s refillable at the
bottom with an adjustment valve and then
if you want to change the batteries
there’s a screw there on the back it’s
pretty much same just the Polish chrome
with the stainless steel brush stirrer I
don’t know what this is the type of
metal it might be a stainless steel
coated but it seems pretty solid and
what you’re paying for it’s not a bad
buy this little part here the little is
a little wobbly so that kind of feels
cheap but you can see they pretty much
copy the Kalima Calibri being the sensor
almost exactly you know obviously this
is a lot smaller but as far as the style
very similar again you just open it up
and then seal a little coil that’s
called an induction coil it basically
heats up and then the gas is sort of
fueling the heat and then that will
start it up
if you close it it will cool down and it
won’t heat up the coil but if the coils
already heated up and you close it right
away you know what happens sometimes you
guys get the point it’s a pretty cool
lighter I’ll leave a link in the
description so if you’re interested in
picking one up yourself it’s pretty good
buy would be a nice gift for someone who
collects lighters or smokes or whatever
but let me know what you think in the
comments below thanks for watching
