Arm Mounted 50lb Crossbow Prototype

everyone’s been asking me to make a
wrist crossbow so I have the same brace
that I have from my SAS inscri dart gun
and I came across this really actually
decently built it’s actually all plastic
which I prefer it’s easier to cut into
and shape as a crossbow and the way that
you would reload it is you pull this
back and reload add your arrow and then
pull the trigger so everything is
plastic I actually bought this exact
same thing previously but I guess they
decided that I mean this is all metal
this is all metal here and this one’s
like all plastic so same exact mold all
made in China you know but obviously
this one’s a little bit better built but
as far as weight it’s not really
necessary
and all the important parts are still
are still metal like this bar is still
metal and the screws are on metal as
well so I actually prefer this easier to
work with plastic when when you’re
forming so basically the biggest
hindrance of crossbows especially on
your wrists you would have to have this
huge obnoxious bow and that’s just not
cool I wouldn’t want that so my plan to
do is cut this evenly down the middle
and then I went down a bay bought these
pretty cool grips for your rifles or
guns and there’s a little button here
that you press in the locking mechanism
and it can lock in this position and
that’s not going anywhere
or it can lock in the horizontal or
vertical position diagonal or whatever
so my plan to do is after cutting this
to somehow put this on to the bow
getting it about that much and then
using these picatinny rails these are
just some rails you can actually buy
these on eBay as well there’s already a
hole actually there so that works
perfectly and then just maybe getting
some bolts to build up the opposite side
so basically what you’d have is a pistol
crossbow with these picatinny rails you
could attach this to having the crossbow
on each side kind of back so that it’s
not on your way and then whenever you
want to shoot it all you’d have to do is
press in this pull this up lock it in
position and then load your dart and
shoot so I think this should work let’s
see why it wouldn’t it’s a 50 pound
crossbow which means the bolts when they
hit the target exert about 50 pounds of
pressure and it was $15 so really good
deal obviously an easy price drop
because it’s all plastic but it’s nice
and I don’t have to worry about any
extra weight and this idea is pretty
good I think it’ll work so basically
what I’m going to try and do is cut this
handle off and then mount it like so or
like so depending on what I decide I’ll
probably make more sense but like I said
this is just a prototype and it gives
you guys a chance to give me some
feedback before I make the design
because once it’s built usually unless
there’s a problem I don’t go back so
just leave some comments on what you
think I should add any design flaws and
what I’ve already told you and maybe you
could just pick up the parts now so that
when we get to the actual build we can
be on the same step so that’s how you
load it and I think it would work I mean
it’d be right there and then it would be
mounted so you could load it and pull
your trigger
it and then take a tinny and the the bow
would just be the side and maybe I could
have some type of mechanism that would
fold it back up like it would be
deployable type of thing I don’t know
there’s lots of possibilities so let me
