hot ones so let’s mix this up I mean if
I put some hot sauce just so you don’t
smells awful so no I know there’s like
garlic in here black garlic I don’t know
the difference between just regular
garlic and black garlic but if you know
please tell me there’s user juice black
garlic aged cider vinegar agave nectar
seven pot primo peppers salt and spices
yeah and so this is like a really really
strong one um do you like the second
second word is spicy now we could also
say it’s hot it’s spicy or hot both mean
the same thing so when you’re in a
restaurant and you’re eating with
someone and someone says oh my god this
is this is really hot it can be
confusing because there’s two meanings
so for example if um if someone says oh
my god this is really hot the other
person might say oh like hot temperature
or hot spicy that often happens in
restaurants because yes in English we
have the same word for a few meanings

hear with my students is they think they
say something is salty it’s not salty
savory what does it mean well you have a
choice right you can have some food
which is full of sugar or not full of
sugar for dinner or for dessert the
dessert is sweet the dinner is savory
not salty what’s the difference if you
say it’s salty then it means you can
taste the salt in it so for example
oh my god for example like
miso soup that is salty and savory so
it’s not sweet – its savory and it’s
salty because you can actually taste the
salt so that is a common mistake
don’t say salty if you just mean savory

not salty what’s the difference if you
say it’s salty then it means you can
taste the salt in it so for example

miso soup that is salty and savory so
it’s not sweet – its savory and it’s
salty because you can actually taste the
salt so that is a common mistake
don’t say salty if you just mean savory
