ok people, look.
I got super exciting news this morning.
12 years ago I sold my vliechtuig to someone in Canada.
And he just sent me a message that he’s here to visit America.
And he wants to take me on a ride, and this is what we do.
How’s George?
Thank you, good to see you! How are you?
I have to admit it, do you have anything back at a small airport, it’s very nostalgic.
You know, the strangest feeling now, George, it’s like I never left it.
This is a Cessna 120, it has a rear wheel.
And I sold it to this guy.
George!
12 years ago and now he’s back here.
He asked me if I wanted on a ride and I said “yes”.
And we’ll go upstairs and play with the mountains and clouds today, and we will take you.
I feel like I can step in there and can pick up where I left off with it.
The reason I bought it 15 years ago, because it was ironic cheaper to buy one yourself than to rent one to have a school and same flight hours.
So instead of going to school and pay thousands of euros in studies …
… I bought myself a plane and taught myself to fly.
… succeeded in the exam and it came out of the same certificates that I would have had a school.
But the difference was that I had an airplane that I could sell and thus recoup my money.
And that put me in a unique position to be one of the few pilots without a student loan.
These small plates move up and down. This calls aerlons and turn the plane from side to side.
What is unique about the Cessna 120 is that it has no flaps like most aircraft.
Any other aircraft state has flaps here.
Flaps provide more friction, which slows you down, but you can also fly slowly before you fall from the sky
and thus makes it easier to land.
No flaps have is an additional challenge for a perfect landing.
but fly after 1000 hours I felt like I was connected to this plane.
Here’s fuel.
Ok fingers crossed that the camera remains straight.
Here we go!
Haha! if you’ve never been away.
That’s right!
Well done.
Cool!
Cola Zero, we take this to “zero gravity”
Here’s how it works …
We go upstairs
and we go down.
Beautiful landing back there.
Are you feeling sick?
No!
I do.
So cool.
My stomach feels weird.
very good
We did it.
It is right that this camera has a stabilizer
because it was so great, I’m trembling
This was such an exciting day!
We’ve run some good done
and that the battery was empty and I was on my go-pro
So I keep my fingers crossed that we have the video.
And what’s great is that I left at the airport a few months ago
I just got a tendency to fly again
And then this guy sends me a message to go fly again with my old airplane
What 12 years ago since I’ve seen this thing.
This is a special experience for me.
I was glad you were here and a part of it and saw what we saw.
It was lots of fun
I was a little bad with my departure and landing
but we made it eventually
So a huge thank you George, thank you!
I appreciate it.
you’re welcome
as if you never left
Thanks for watching this video and I’ll see you at the next adventure. see then yes.
