we were convinced that nothing but then
there was a blizzard in late March
but even this could be stopped us and we
weren’t the only ones according to
Jennifer he a box on March 24th 2018
there were over 800 students and while
this act of students speaking up came as
a shock tonight the concept isn’t anyone
youth activism has been around for a
long time so let’s look at let’s explore
the background some applications and
finally the implications this bold step
Texas students that this protest will be
but less than a month after the March
for our lives students organized a
walkout that was seen in over 2,500
schools across the US including mine but
this concept of youth driven Chinglish
isn’t new a 2015 Business Insider
article gives us some insight into this
telling us that on July 4th 1776 our
founding fathers were relatively dull
for example Andrew Jackson was 9 james
Armistead was 15 and the Marquis de
Lafayette as well as general words only
his feet but this didn’t stop with the
founding fathers and intricate articles
in the February 28th to 2018 share some
other examples such as the newest police
raid in 1899 the Little Rock Nine Act
seven began to East Los Angeles in 1916
which advocated for the teaching of
mexican-american history schools
throughout our country’s history and
throughout the world youth have
frequently been at the forefront of this
fight for social justice and change it
can be artists is going example of this
following the tragic Parkinson’s
students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas
high school decided to speak up and to
use their platform to make a difference
as far as Governor Brown was concerned
and they were successful their voices
prompted all the marches on March 4th
and to continue to inspire people today
however in many parts of the world
students are harmed or even killed for
even with this risk their protests allow
their president to agree to repeal these
changes so even when it’s not see
students continue every day just sign up
for our futures
we can see that this is there are many
examples of ways that students can now
more than ever be involved in politics
one of these is social media obviously
there’s a difference between reasonable
activism and just picking political
fights on Facebook but students are able
to use social media to have
conversations instead of portals youth
activists are able to use it to make a
difference
second ideas are created so that
students can meet directly with their
legislators an example of this is United
Nations where students from across the
world are able to meet at the United
Nations with their ambassadors they’re
able to be able to give insight on
what’s important to them and to aid in
the implementation of the 2030 agenda
for sustainable development this agenda
is intended to allow and as students
continue to fight it’s important to
acknowledge that this is impacting
everyone so students I encourage you to
find what you are passionate about to go
adults I encourage you to maybe have a
conversation that you ask a student
what’s important about it because this
might impact what I was thinking and
this Martin Luther King jr. set
