if you’re in the market for a
hot-looking ride it’s fun to drive
without the hefty price tag and you want
to look at Mazda hi I’m Miranda

taking a ride in the 2010 Mazda rx-8
well the master RX a can’t be considered
a supercar by any means once you get
behind the wheel and actually feel what
this car can do in the road you realize
that it’s quite impressive for what it
is the Mazda rx-8 is a pretty flashy car
already with this particular model that
we’re driving is tricked out with Recaro
racing seats Bilstein suspension 19-inch
alloy wheels and a little bit something
extra a massive speed cold air intake
doesn’t add a significant amount of
horsepower but it does make it sound
phenomenal
when NASA put the rotary engine the rx-8
it made a huge difference in the feel of
the car on the road well I really played
with a low-end torque and made it almost
non-existent
what it did do was create quite a lot of
power for an engine that’s actually
quite small with only 1.3 liters this
car shoots out 232 horsepower with the
manual if you shoot down to automatic
then you’re dropping to 212 but it still
have a lot of grunt and a lot of power
which is great in a car of this size
the benefits of driving a rotary engine
is really in the smoothness there are no
reciprocating parts and there’s also a
great power-to-weight ratio which really
helps with the bouncing and handling of
the car and in the rx-8 specifically
there’s almost a perfect 50/50 split
between front and back which means the
car hugs the corners perfectly the
design of the Mazda rx-8 is edgy and
modern and very aggressive with wheel
fenders that are very puffed up in the
front and the back the car has a very
crouch down low stance that you don’t
really feel when you’re sitting in the
car when you look outside it’s very
close to the road so in case you didn’t
believe me before I have to prove to
y’all phenomenal this engine actually
sounds with a little bit of revving
because this particular rx-8 is a good
with Bilstein suspension the handling is
much more precise it grips the road much
more closely and handles really well and
despite the lack of torque at only 159
pounds foot you don’t really feel it
because the car is so grippy and so
tight in the corners you just want to
drive it
so I hope you guys enjoyed the ride as
much as I did if nothing else the car
sounds phenomenal it might not have all
the high-tech gadgetry of the modern car
today but it certainly is a blast to
