Arcadia Festival – Xbox 360: Viva Pinata

now you’re in the microsoft booth we
have one of Microsoft’s upcoming titles
has gotten a lot of people excited
recently and that’s the beautiful
looking viva pinata now viva pinata
seems to be Microsoft’s first attempt to
get into that sort of virtual pet
pokemons Tamagotchi type of thing when
you basically doozy go into the game and
create your pinata and he’s basically a
pinata and essentially you you
customizing the way you like then you
have them interact with other pinatas
very much in the vein of animal crossing
by Nintendo that was released a few
years back basically this game really
looks beautiful it takes advantage of
the 360’s ability to do special effects
one of the most primary effects you can
notice in this game is bloom lighting
and really it’s sort of a very beautiful
visceral sort of game they’ve gone as
far as to actually make a TV show about
viva pinata so you can really see the
Microsoft putting a lot of resources
trying to get to to a different type of
market with this type of game which ones
are trying to appeal to the kids and
maybe the more casual game are the ones
that aren’t really up till four in the
morning playing gears of war like I was
last night but it’s really nice to see
Microsoft sort of expand their sort of
demographic and make this beautiful
beautiful looking game
