Every Marvel Cinematic Universe Movie Ranked from Worst to Best

every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie

ranked from worse to best over the past

ten years the Marvel Cinematic Universe

has become the most successful movie

franchise of all time

earning over fifteen billion dollars at

the global box office but where do they

all rank now that Marvel is well into

Phase three of its cinematic universe we

take a look at where they sit from worst

to best so sit back enjoy the video and

subscribe if you’re new around here

nineteen The Incredible Hulk 2008

honestly the screenplay and graphics are

great for a movie produced around that

age however the storyline is just not

one of the best narratives this may be

due to Edward Norton writing his own

script and demanding it be used or else

he’ll walk from the project of the 19

films in the cinematic universe The

Incredible Hulk has the lowest

box-office gross with a respectable 161

million therefore we have ranked Edward

Norton’s The Incredible Hulk as the

worst Marvel Cinematic Universe movie so

far 18 Captain America the First Avenger

2011 this is our first introduction to

Steve Rogers in the MCU the noble

military reject who transforms in the

Super Soldier Captain America received

mixed reviews from fans Chris Evans and

Hayley Atwell earned high praise as

Steve and agent Peggy Carter but critics

just didn’t really take to this Captain

America as much as its sequel the Winter

Soldier the First Avenger still managed

to rake up 176 million dollars

domestically at the box office not too

bad

17 Thor the dark world 2013 the MCU is

the rare place in the cinematic universe

where sequels are occasionally preferred

to the originals Thor the dark world may

not be the finest film that come from

the Marvel Universe but Thor the dark

world still offers plenty of the humor

and high-stakes action that fans have

come to love and expect the dark world

also made a respectable 206 million

dollars domestically 16 Iron Man 2 2010

after the great success of the first

Iron Man fans were expecting Iron Man 2

to follow suit unfortunately this wasn’t

the case the story is not as strong as

the first mainly because

the villains motivations in this one are

so poorly done Mickey Rourke’s

performance is fine but the screenplay

doesn’t give his character any depth but

this sequel comes close with solid

performances in an action-packed plot it

also introduces us to Scarlett

Johansson’s irreplaceable Natasha Black

Widow and what’s your name lady rushman

Natalie rushman

the church and the recast of Don Cheadle

as Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes the

movie also did pretty well at the box

office

raking in 312 million 15 Thor 2011

Thor’s casting was met with a resounding

approval especially for Tom Hiddleston

as the new villain Loki Hiddleston

initially auditioned for Thor but

director Kenneth Branagh thought he’d be

better as the villain people also

approved of the casting of Chris

Hemsworth as Thor overall it is a great

blockbuster Marvel movie that tempers

it’s sweeping scope with wit humor and

human drama the domestic box office

figures weren’t too bad either

making 181 million dollars for teen Iron

Man 3 2013 Stark’s role is a fascinating

one in any of the Marvel Universe movies

and in this third part he doesn’t fail

to deliver but more than that the movie

needs to be a fascinating overall a

character is only a subset of the whole

the charisma and enthusiasm imputed are

commendable critics and audiences both

preferred Iron Man 3 to the second film

however some fans really did not like

that big twist even saying it ruined the

movie for them although I personally

really enjoyed the twist thought it was

really clever Marvel’s Iron Man 3 made a

whopping 409 million dollars at the box

office

13 Ant Man 2015 it’s possible this one

benefited from lower expectations

ant-man led by a charming performance

from Paul Rudd offers Marvel fans some

epic thrills on an appropriately smaller

scale albeit not as smoothly as its most

successful predecessors occasionally the

fight scenes were hard to follow at

times but there was a lot of good action

and it might be the funniest Marvel

movie that they’ve made yet funny

characters dialogue and situational

humor and

and rocked up to the box office 180

million dollars domestically 12 Avengers

age of Ultron

2015 age of Ultron introduced us to

Elizabeth Olsen

Scarlet Witch and Paul Bette needs

vision to the MCU and the Avengers

roster both of who have pivotal roles in

Captain America’s Civil War Avengers age

of Ultron serves as an over-the-top but

mostly satisfying sequel were uniting

its predecessors unwieldly cast with a

few new additions and a worthy villain

Avengers age of Ultron smashed the box

office making four hundred fifty nine

million dollars domestically the fans

sure did like this one eleven spider-man

Home Coming 2017 spider-man homecoming

is the penultimate film in Marvel’s

phase 3 and the long-awaited arrival of

Peter Parker into the MCU after being

spectacularly introduced in Captain

America Civil War Tom Hollands

performance was also great he injected a

lot of humor which we all love also

Holland got into great shape for this

movie to take on many of his own stunts

many fans believe this is the best

spider-man movie to date which is why we

have had to rank it so highly it also

had a great performance at the box

office – making a respectable 334

million dollars next mission

we’ll call you ten Doctor Strange 2016

Doctor Strange introduced magic and

sorcery to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

although this is dr. Strange’s first

outing in an MCU solo movie the

character had been teased in earlier

movies including in Thor Thor the dark

world and Captain America Winter Soldier

Benedict Cumberbatch’s performance was

also great and gritty a perfect fit for

Doctor Strange Doctor Strange is an

artistic masterpiece and balances its

unusual source material against the

blockbuster constraints of the MCU

delivering a thoroughly entertaining

superhero origin story Doctor Strange

also grows 232 million dollars at the

box office

not too shabby 9 Black Panther 2018

MC use Black Panther elevates superhero

cinema to thrilling new heights while

telling one of the MC use most absorbing

stories chadwick boseman and Michael B

Jordan really bring their characters to

life with exhilarating performances from

the pair the soundtrack to this movie is

also awesome Black Panther is a very

colorful film and a refreshingly

different feel for a superhero film

which is why we have ranked it at number

9 black panther also smashed the box

office with 688 million dollars so far

eight guardians of the galaxy vol 2 2017

the follow-up to the well received and

highly rated guardians of the galaxy

2014 proved to be just as popular and

just as highly regarded guardians of the

galaxy vol twos action-packed plot

mind-blowing visuals and immersive humor

also add up to a sequel that’s just as

much fun as its predecessor Chris Brad

also shows a more emotional side in this

one with his much-loved character Peter

quill as they unravel the mystery of his

true parentage overall this is a great

watch with great visuals and an awesome

soundtrack this one made a respectable

389 million dollars at the box office 7

Captain America the Winter Soldier 2014

I could easily make an argument for this

one to be number 1 but in step with the

Marvel Cinematic Universe sequels

ranking higher than previous films the

Winter Soldier topped the first avenger

in almost all aspects including the box

office Scarlett Johansson is a badass

stand out in Winter Soldier along with

Anthony Mackie as Falcon samuel

l.jackson as Nick Fury and Sebastian

Stan as Steve’s dark troubled friend

from the past Bucky Barnes with the

brutal and intense action and a plot

that will keep you guessing Captain

America the Winter Soldier is a big

standout and one of the best Marvel

phase 2 films the Winter Soldier rocked

the box office with 259 million dollars

number 6 Thor Ragnarok 2017 Thor

Ragnarok is the Thor movie all fans were

longing for a great mix of action

adventure and a sense of humor all

proved very popular therefore we had to

rank Thor Ragnarok amongst the best

movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

we are not doing we can always depend on

Hemsworth style of not taking himself

too seriously and it works well in this

installment giving us many laughs but

also a great and believable performance

from the Australian the third film about

Marvel superhero based on the Norse god

of thunder shakes things up drastically

taking the series in a more colorful

more fantastic and a more comedic

direction so because of all that we had

to rank thor ragnarok at number 6 the

movie also made 315 million dollars at

the box office number 5 Ironman 2008 the

first film in phase 1 set the tone for

what was to come in the franchise

director Jon Favreau had to convince

Marvel bosses that Robert Downey jr. was

the man for the job after being told no

several times can you imagine anybody

else being Tony Stark now let’s all be

grateful that Favre Row got his way the

Iron Man franchise would not be the same

without Robert Downey jr. is gritty but

charismatic take on the character Tony

Stark without a dull moment Iron Man is

a triumph of an action movie and one of

our favorite Marvel movies yet even with

the weird Bugs Bunny ending icing

problem and thanks to Robert Downey jr.

it’s one of the biggest franchises ever

Iron Man also made 318 million at the

box office for guardians of the galaxy

2014 many fans didn’t know what to

expect going into the cinemas to watch

this one many didn’t even know who Chris

star-lord who star-lord man legendary

outlaw Marvel fans quickly fell in love

with Pratt’s character Peter quill aka

star-lord James Gunn delivers us a great

sci-fi action humor instantly memorable

characters quotable dialogue and plenty

of classic pop songs a navies references

James Gunn and company perfectly

balanced heart humor and action to give

us one of the most unique and

entertaining superhero movies to date

guardians of the galaxy rocked home to

333 million dollars at the box office

three Captain America Civil War 2016

apart from the brilliance of the

production one can’t help admiring the

team tear up heroes against heroes

perhaps more of an Avengers film rather

than a solo Captain America film

nevertheless Civil War shows us a new

side to our favorite heroes and seeing

them disagree with one another and tear

the group apart it’s something new and

definitely one that will be remembered

another great thing about the movie is

the introduction of some new characters

including Black Panther and spider-man

both of who became fan favorites after

the film and carried on to have

extremely successful solo films this

movie also went on to smash the box

office making 408 million dollars to the

Avengers 2012 being the first Avengers

movie in the MCU it wasn’t a guaranteed

success going in but the brilliantly

written script epic action scenes

lovable heroes and the perfect villain

in Loki all added up to become the

perfect base for the Avengers franchise

the actors performances and Marvel’s The

Avengers are simply captivating and

there are so many instances where we get

a glimpse further into their characters

past and innermost feelings Robert

Downey jr. will have you in stitches

Scarlett Johansson will have you staring

at disbelief as she winds her way

through sticky situations and Tom

Hiddleston will have you simply shaking

in your seat with fear the action scenes

will also amaze you with new

technologies which were not available

before making the fight scenes look more

real on a scale we had never seen before

it’s almost the perfect film therefore

we have ranked the Avengers at number 2

oh and it splashed its share of

box-office

records – at the time raking in 623

million dollars won Avengers infinity

war 2018 Avengers infinity war the

latest installment in the Marvel

Cinematic Universe is one hell of a ride

with plenty of action laughs and a

potential for tearing up director duo

Anthony and Joe Russo have done an

amazing job of shoehorning Marvel’s

myriad superheroes into a coherent tale

infinity war not only manages to juggle

an enormous cast but it also manages to

be a great film full of heart drama and

humor Thanos is the biggest and most

powerful villain we’ve ever seen in a

Marvel movie to date and boy does he

show us that power infinity war is also

full of mesmerizing visuals and some of

the best CGI we’ve seen to date this

makes all the epic action scenes look

more real than ever before the ending

was also extremely brave and teases the

crowd and it sets us up perfectly for

Avengers 4 infinity war is already

breaking all box office records with an

opening weekend of 257 million dollars

alone so that rounds it all up do you
