Workout Tips from Jennifer Cohen

anytime anywhere no excuses all you need
to do is decide hi I’m Veronica
watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
with celebrity fitness trainer and
health expert Jennifer Cohen now you
have a simplistic approach to working
out why do you think it’s so important
to go back to the basics to achieve your
goals I just found through all my
training with the different people or
just myself that I always found the most
basic exercise seems to be the most
effective so I like to do like variation
of a basic squat or basic pushup you
have worked with many Hollywood
celebrities do you think that is
realistic for people like us to strive
to get their bodies it really depends on
the body type that you’re given i think
everyone falls into three different body
types it would be there an endomorph an
ectomorph and a mesomorph I think the
problem is once we try to aspire it be
something that we’re not we create
pitfalls for ourselves and it really
becomes demotivated when we don’t
achieve them can you tell us about your
latest project about no gym required I’m
s in the gym isn’t a good thing but I’m
just saying that you don’t need the gym
to live a healthy fit lifestyle either
your own body weight or using very
minimal equipment tends to really get
the results people are looking for as
opposed to using a big piece of machine
in a gym that usually does thirty
percent of work for you I want to make
it so everybody anytime anywhere no
excuse could find a way to work out do
you think that’s studying both
psychology and sports marketing have
made you the successful trainer that you
are all of this really is psychology
because it really is about having a
certain mindset and be motivated and
dedicated so it’s a way tricking your
brain to kind of keep with the program
and really kind of changing the mindset
as like fitness as a chore and really
making it part of like who you are what
your lifestyle what you want it to be in
your book use the subtitle unleash your
inner rock star why did you use this to
get your point across there’s two
reasons first of all I actually believe
that music is a major motivator for
working out research has proven that if
you use particular songs with a certain
beat per minute it increases the
duration of your workout and the
intensity and the other one is because
we all are our own
rockstar I kind of try to take away the
whole approach of looking at this
celebrity or that celebrity as the
ultimate and making you the person who’s
doing the program the celebrity in the
ultimate thank you very much thank you
very much
