Winter Makeup For Blue Eyes

hi I’m Lisa for watchmojo and today
we’re going to show you how to get the
look ski bunny look so we have Lauren
she’s all ready to go skiing or maybe
just hang out by the fireplace I don’t
know her skill level is in terms of
skiing but we’re gonna do something is
very harmonious in terms of color
palette we’re gonna work with all the
roses and Pink’s a little bit of pearl
finish a little shine to it and it’s
really nice for blue eyes I have to say
you do it in a discreet manner and
you’ll end up looking like a snow bunny
and not so much like you know one of
those tests bunnies you know the red
eyes so let’s start with a little bit on
the eyes we’re going to use the aveda
palette this one is called Earth rose
and what I like is that it keeps it
really simple because you have three
shades and one little palette so the
first one is the lightest it is a light
pink and it’s very mad when you use the
chisel deluxe oval fluff to just put all
over the lid so it has a really nice
cool effect it has a little blue
undertone something that goes really
nice on a cold winter’s day next we’re
going to go into the chisel double angle
it’s a real universal eyeshadow brush
really easy pick up your medium shade
just come forward this is the easiest
way to do it and just pop it into the
hollow of the eye so you don’t have to
actually close the eye when you’re
applying this you want to fit it into
the hollow and then just wiggle back and
forth Carrie ate it up a little bit onto
the arch I just kind of do little
circles that way it’s a complying and
it’s blending at the same time the next
brush I’m going to go into is the mini
Deluxe fluff so I like this one because
it’s actually has two ends to it makes
it a lot faster to get your makeup done
so you can hit the slopes we’re going to
go into the deepest shade it’s a really
pretty mink shade we’re really going to
concentrate that in the outer corner
along the lash line and stay below the
crease now then what we can do is just
turn it over go along the lash line
because you want to give that appearance
that she has a naturally thicker lash
line and then the same thing we’re gonna
do on the back of the lashes on the top
line
once you’ve done all the darkest shades
I always recommend going back to the
very first shade and going back and
highlighting everything afterwards that
way the color stays true and pure so
what we had done is that we’d taken that
middle shade and brought it up onto the
brow bone and then we go to the lightest
shade and that blends back down and then
just go back with the lightest shade on
the inner corner of the eye that way it
automatically makes the darker color
look darker without adding more dark
color ok so the next step is gonna just
be mascara you know we don’t need to do
is a lot of eyeliner it’s kind of not
the idea I thought we really want to
like amplify the ski bunny you don’t I
mean like doe-eyed kind of effect so
lots of mascara definitely a block you
know in several codes so the next thing
is that you really want to look like you
just did get a lot of fresh air even if
you were in skiing and this one is so
again from aveda and this is called
blossom and it’s three shades and one so
all you have to do is roll your brush
into it and you really just have to give
yourself a really big smile and really
hit the apples of the cheeks this is
where it looks like you’ve actually done
some physical activity and it stays
really harmonious with what’s been done
with the eyes so it’s kind of that this
monochromatic look you don’t want to
have like blue eye shadow with like
purple mascara and like deep crimson
lips like that is not going to be like
that’s not snow bunny at all and last
but not least we’re gonna go with aveda
rehydrating lip glaze and this color is
pink lotus I really love using this
product because it’s glossy but it’s not
sparkly it’s very refreshing and really
really hydrating because you know when
you’re out on the slopes your lips get
really chapped and eat the pink but it
has a blue undertone so it stays in the
same family as the eyeshadow and there
is a little bit of a mint flavor to it
and sent to it so when you are like when
you finally land the guy you know he’s
gonna like heaven
eyes send of mint coming off with you
and a little pucker and there you go
this is how to get the snow bunny look
so I’d like to say thank you to Lauren
for being my little snow bunny i’m lisa
