[Music]
genuine is no stranger to chart-topping
music he’s teamed up with up-and-coming
hip-hop talent belly hi welcome to
watchmojo.com i’m your host leila today
i got the chance to talk to both of them
about the musical careers so you are
officially joined the hip-hop culture at
age 12 and then like you’ve gone
platinum after platinum after plotting
how is that momentum affected your
experience making music it just it just
gave me an opportunity to be creative
and also you know let my fans and on who
I really am at the same time what’s the
balance between using music as a natural
extension of your personality versus
putting on an act you can’t be the same
person off all the time you’re still
like when you get when you go out with
your friends you’re a different person
when you home you’re the person with
news i was able to you know either be a
person that you know it wasn’t you can
hide behind the lyrics sometimes you can
hide behind the creativity of the whole
situation artists life I me
my heart heart is like an expression of
how we feel at the end of the day
nobody’s gonna be in a good mood and
paint like a rainy picture he’s in a
good mood he’s gonna paint his son green
trees and if he’s not in my paint the
rain clouds and all that type of stuff
so you know really art just expresses
how somebody feels you express yourself
through music but what does music led
you to discover by yourself you better
be ready to sacrifice know and like the
love like whoever does music and really
does music loves music to the fullest
will sacrifice a lot you know with the
mixture of R&B and hip-hop together it’s
definitely a good change and everything
in this ain’t it ain’t doing nothing but
getting better and better every day I’m
just happy to be a part of what’s it
like working with hip makers like
genuine and scarf is corrupt with
genuine and the song pressure that’s the
song that put me on the map you know
that means so I’m traveling I’m forever
indebted to my men you know what I mean
like like Pharrell he came through with
a hit congratulations guys it’s a
pleasure to meet you
y’all better support Mets fan
