listeners want and are able to deliver
hi I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome to
watchmojo.com today we are speaking with
Paulo from Trivium about the ups and
downs of touring and their best
experiences on the road
we’re gonna tell us about some of the
highs and lows of touring oh the highs
are definitely the shows of seeing
familiar faces friends fans the lows it
depends what you make of touring like
for me and Matt we like to go out we
like I said like find the best local
restaurants in town or just try whatever
is famous in that city for that and just
go out and hang out and have a good time
and you know we all go out party three
beers and stuff so there’s a lot of
downtime and touring can really suck if
you’re a recluse and you stay on your
bus and you don’t get out there and live
your life so I would say the low is
really in the really are none for me I
miss home I miss my parents but I love
being out here and when I’m at home I
kind of missed this just as much
you guys have toured with some of the
idols of Medellin what have you learned
by watching them you know up close and
personal on stage night after night like
Iron Maiden the tile the machine head
who was on tour today hey they’re just
so professional on and off stage the way
they carry themselves like that’s the
kind of band that we always envisioned
ourselves becoming and I mean seven
years into it I I definitely feel that
we’re we’re on our way to being a band
like that I mean I watched old videos of
ourselves and I watch stuff now and it’s
like wow night and day
we just know so much more those bands
just put on shows you want to go see
live and that that’s the key so many
bands torn out and everything is so
expensive that you don’t put on a show
that’s worth going to then you’re not
gonna get it there’s only there’s only
so many people that’ll go to so many
shows
how did their crowds usually you know
receive you guys in the beginning I mean
it was it was like anything when your
new band people just kind of watch you
kind of a alright who is this band it’s
more of a curiosity not not really like
a heckling or mean thing although we’ve
had that before not really on those
tours like on other small tours back in
like 2005 but now people know who we are
now so it’s a little bit different we’re
lucky we’ve done it before so I think
now we know how to do we know what to
expect like an iron made me proud is
Iron Maiden fans so you’ve got to
approach it with that mindset
