reasons as to why insomniac new
spider-man game might not only be good
but perhaps the best spider-man game
ever and maybe just maybe the best
Marvel superhero game to date I’ll head
for the main control center and see how
bad the situation got it I’ll go join
the party number 5 no more
microtransactions microtransactions have
been an unfortunate reality as of late
many multiplayer games are absolutely
littered with microtransactions and loot
boxes and even some single-player games
come equipped with the option of buying
a shiny new toy with real money luckily
we won’t have to worry about that with
spider-man
when Game Informer asked the creative
director Brian in to harm if there would
be microtransactions into her
beautifully equipped hell no well we
suppose that answers that right and
thank the gaming gods for it because no
one wants to pay 10 bucks for extra webs
or something microtransactions hell no
number 4 kingpin as the villain hey
nice jumpsuit slimming there’s been a
truckload of Spider Man bill instead of
insomniac could have included in their
game and while many of them will be
present of course for it glad that they
also included kingpin many of the
classic spider-man villains have already
been covered in recent films and games
but few of them included kingpin this
game opens with you taking on Wilson
Fisk himself and later defending his
henchmen from a new evil group called
the inner demons there were also beat
outposts littered throughout the map run
by kingpins men allowing you to take on
and take out his villainous empire your
men are safe your turn who runs the
demons
you’re about to find out number three
experienced spider-man I’ll head for the
main control center and see how bad the
situation got it I’ll go join the party
what will set this game apart from the
myriad of recent spider-man games and
movies is the more mature and
battle-hardened Peter Parker
all three film versions have shown an
inexperienced and flawed spider-man
particularly Tom Hollands as late
however insomniac states that the new
story will feature an experienced 23
year old spider-man in the prime of his
crime-fighting capabilities hopefully
this means that the story will cover
some fresh ground too and perhaps we
will see some moves and abilities we
haven’t seen before either way we can’t
see what a more skilled spider-man has
in store for us he’s fed him good idea
number two it’s a standalone story maybe
Peter Parker can have more life we’re
not bashing the quality of past
spider-man stories here but it will be
nice to have a solid standalone
insomniac tale for this game as we’ve
mentioned previously a more mature and
experienced spider-man could be grounds
for some refreshing story ideas and
thematic material to make this idea even
better
insomniac has brought on veterans Dan
Slott and Christos Gage as writers who
are known for their work on the amazing
spider-man series of comics everything
points to this game having an original
and fleshed out narrative and we can’t
wait to experience that
we’ll make you for help but you won’t be
number one insomniac games and I think
that’s how we go into every day we come
here there’s this push to really get it
right the game is being developed by
Insomniac we mean come on do you need
another reason here these are the guys
who brought us some of the Playstations
greatest icons including Spyro the
Dragon Ratchet and Clank and the
fantastic resistance series insomniac is
one of those developers that you just
know will deliver and their passion for
this project is clearly evident proving
that this isn’t just some corporate
mandate to shell out another spider-man
game their enthusiasm is contagious too
because everyone can tell that this game
is gonna be a superhero game to remember
