guys got to believe us when we say
there’s a lot of them the first person
to find the egg will inherit half a
trillion dollars and total control of
the Oasis itself number three all the
video game references director Steven
Spielberg’s adaptation of this Ernest
Cline 2011 sci-fi novel which shares the
same name revolves around a virtual
reality simulator called the Oasis

so naturally this trailer works in
enough video game characters to give
wreck-it Ralph a run for its money
several knots the Street Fighter series
are featured
although the highlight is Ryu gearing up
for a race the Battletoads Lara Croft
and tracer from overwatch can be seen
charging into a rousing battle uniting
several generations of gaming icons then
just when it seems like the trailer is
topped itself Gundam joins the fight and
what revolution would be complete
without that of the dance-dance
persuasion like many of you I only came
here to escape number 2 all the movie
references my name is Wade watts my dad
picked that name because it sounded like
a superhero’s alter-ego since Spielberg
produced Back to the Future it’s fitting
that this trailer contains a DeLorean
that’s not the only vehicle on display
as you can spot a bike that resembles a
light cycle from Tron and kanae does
motorcycle from Acura there’s also the
VA interceptor from Mad Max the a-teams
van the Mach 5 from speed racer and Adam
West’s Batmobile speaking of fat man did
you see the Joker and Harley Quinn how
about King Kong jumping from a
skyscraper chucky throwing a punch or
the Iron Giant in action there’s even a
boombox from say anything
turning the 80s nostalgia up to 11
number 1 Ernest Cline’s book brought to
life
cultural references are cool and all but
the real treat here is seeing the world
and characters Klein created brought to
life the trailer shows ty Sheridan’s
Wade watts and Olivia cooks Samantha
cook who both escaped to the Oasis under
the monikers of PARs eval and Artemus
Mark Rylance also appears as James
Holliday the deceased creator of this
virtual Wonderland left behind an
extremely valuable Easter egg with our
heroes and a corrupt corporation called
online industries hunting for said egg
the Oasis becomes a massive maze the
same can be said about this movie’s
title which has an entrance into our and
the egg in the center of the Oh help us
save the ouais
