off our list is the harrowing zombie
kill from the second season of this
incredibly popular television series
here Rick finds himself cornered after
going for his gun after killing one
zombie he is pinned to the floor and
narrowly manages a second kill unable to
get a bead on the third he brilliantly
decides to use his head
number nine Amish paradise diary of the
dead in this film
survivors are forced to ask a deaf Amish
man for help after their RV breaks down
in the middle of nowhere taking refuge
in his barn when the zombies attack
their mute friend tries his best to
protect them and his land before getting
a love bite and deciding to put an end
to that bothersome itch on his face once
and for all
number 8 a quick shave Dawn of the Dead
when a group of special soldiers goes
AWOL during a zombie outbreak and who
can blame them they’re forced to land to
refuel their helicopter while one member
of the team refuels the sound of the
revving engine drowns out the cries of
an approaching zombie lucky for this guy
the zombie offs himself by climbing over
nearby boxes to give himself a fatal
haircut
number seven
helicopter mulcher 28 weeks later
thought that last helicopter kill was
gruesome well you haven’t seen anything
yet in this scene an airborne helicopter
is used as a giant weed whacker to
dispatch an entire horde of zombies mid
field
unfortunately for the kid hanging on the
landing strut a single drop of blood is
enough to turn him well if he survives
the fall number six
defibrillator diary of the dead you
should remember this one in case you
ever have the misfortune of being pinned
down in a hospital without Adam when the
going gets tough the tough get creative
this might not be the most
scientifically accurate portrayal of how
a defibrillator works but it really
makes this scene pop number five the
electric-fence land of the dead keeping
people confined by the very thing that
is protecting them may not be the best
strategy but hey this sort of social
commentary doesn’t just write itself
these soldiers regularly enjoy watching
the odds-on be wander into their trap
and become a light show before aimlessly
wasting ammo to finish them off number
four the kill bus Dawn of the Dead in
this remake of the Romero classic the
survivors eventually decide to modify
buses and use them to escape their
overrun shopping mall while certainly
over the top the result is nothing if
not memorable while this idea clearly
hits a few bumps
it offers up some of the most memorable
visuals the Jean has ever seen
number three kill of the week Zombieland
while the hero of this movie boasts the
status of having made the zombie kill of
the week the actual best zombie kill is
revealed to have went to a nun held up
in a church as if assisted by God
himself she simply rings a tiny bell to
release a grand piano swishing the
attacking zombie flatter than a pancake
number two signal flare survival of the
dead in this zombie flick a National
Guardsman shows how jaded he has become
by dispatching the undead in one of
cinema’s most creative ways after
punching the zombie in the face he takes
out a flare gun and uses it to cook the
walking corpse before using that to
light a cigarette and kick him overboard
this is pretty much the definition of a
badass nonchalant zombie kill number one
the lawnmower brain-dead aka
dead alive taking the top spot on our
list is the kill that we couldn’t go
without mentioning for infamously
requiring the filmmakers to pump out 300
litres or if you prefer 80 gallons of
fake blood the cause the use of a
lawnmower to mulch up the infected it’s
like the helicopter kill but with a real
hands-on touch
