Top 10 TV Shows Netflix Should Revive

eighty-seven ready
please Netflix make our dreams come true
welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’re
counting down our picks for the top ten
TV shows Netflix should revive don’t
want it too if you like this video then
you’ll love the original content over at
our sister channel ms mojo your source
for all things pop culture celebrity and
entertainment for this list we’re
looking at those beloved and critically
acclaimed TV shows from the past that
Netflix should consider bringing back
what you can’t just wish you number 10
forever so detective what conclusions
can you draw forever is a fantasy crime
drama that follows the misadventures of
an immortal New York City medical
examiner who works with the NYPD to
solve crimes and cure his immortality
while the show had a mixed reception and
was canceled after only one season loyal
fans loved the drama and have campaigned
for a second installment to the short
running series sorry for your loss
detective
we gotta admit the premise of the show
has a lot of potential and we can only
imagine what kind of production value
Netflix could bring to this fantasy
series number nine
Constantine some evil is so powerful it
can hide from heaven itself
Constantine follows a similar vein to
the x-files and supernatural in that it
follows the adventures of the titular
character an exorcist and supernatural
detective who would solve paranormal
occurrences on a weekly basis this is
new unfortunately Constantine failed to
reach the popularity of those shows and
NBC canceled the series after only 13
episodes however that wasn’t due to poor
quality the special effects were
magnificent it was suitably creepy and
Matt Ryan played Constantine to
perfection
with Netflix is budget and freedom
constantine could be the next big
paranormal show we just have to give it
a chance means I’ve been wasting my time
here number 8 Stargate Universe science
fiction and television can be a
difficult marriage what else have you
figured out there is a lot of gold
however they don’t always attain high
viewer numbers and when rating slump
they aren’t too long for this world
case in point Stargate Universe I’m
afraid I’ve already run the number since
the show lasted only two seasons and was
comprised of just 40 episodes with 34
tie-in webisodes
however the fan base is incredibly
devoted and they reacted angrily towards
its cancellation forcing sci-fi to
release a letter explaining their
decision with a loyal pre-established
fanbase and Netflix is wide reach
Stargate Universe could find a happy
home on the surface that’s beautiful
number 7 Jericho oh we’re gonna use our
imaginations to solve problems already
cause although its final episode aired
back in 2008 Jericho is yet another show
with an extremely devoted following
welcome back to Jericho Qi following the
story of a civilization after a nuclear
attack on the United States not only did
the series contain many intriguing
mysteries it also allowed us to examine
how people would realistically react in
a post-apocalyptic scenario however it
was never a rating Starling
shut it down mechanic in fact it was
cancelled after one season before being
brought back again by fandom and only to
be canceled again after season 2 still
the series left us with a lot of
potential and a third life on Netflix
may be a hit waiting to happen
thought I lost him
[Music]
no way you could never lose me
number six Hannibal I’m dr. Hannibal
Lecter let’s be serious a show like this
was never meant to be on network TV in
the first place everyone has thought
about killing someone one way or another
Hannibal follows will Graham an FBI
investigator and dr. Hannibal Lecter his
cannibalistic psychiatrist
please coming while the show was
canceled after 39 episodes we can’t
fault NBC for not trying
they gave it numerous chances the acting
and visuals were phenomenal and the
story followed a particularly dark path
that other network TV shows are often
too scared to explore and this is the
clearest while it never attained a high
amount of viewers it’s a quality program
that definitely needs to find a proper
conclusion on Netflix even if it’s only
one more season that won’t stop him from
doing what he has to number five
Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles
Game of Thrones won’t be here forever so
why not bring Lena Headey back is that a
joke this show followed the lives of
Sarah and John Connor
after Terminator 2 some might say
rightfully ignoring the events of
Terminator 3 I need a computer I need to
do research the story was full of
potential and despite a strong critical
reaction it was canceled by Fox after
two seasons like Stargate and Jericho
fan reaction to its cancellation was one
full of disappointment and interest
remains high regarding its possible
return in short it’s a perfect fit for a
platformer that seems to specialize in
revitalizing shows number four are you
afraid of the dark creeps
after watching this show we’d have to
answer yes yes we are
[Music]
this show is an american-canadian
collaboration and it was a huge success
both critically and commercially while
the Canadian adaptation of RL Stein’s
goosebumps also deserves a mention here
it was are you afraid of the dark that
really left its mark as a Twilight Zone
for kids and prepare yourself to take a
trip
Jimmy each episode revolved around a new
scary story with a unique cast Netflix
is in need of a good scary program and
due to the show’s 1990s nostalgia factor
it could be the one to capture the
attention of both children and their
parents who grew up watching the
original number three
agent Carter they really didn’t give
this show very long did they so I really
must have Jenn we’re not surprised in
agent Carter the lead character is Peggy
Carter a woman in 1940’s America who
must balance her personal life with that
of being a secret agent tell me his name
oh so help me god I’ll blow us both to
hell the show is part of the Marvel
Cinematic Universe and as such it is a
natural fit on Netflix
while Netflix’s Marvel series aren’t all
equals the service gives them all an
equal shot at success agent Carter on
the other hand was cancelled after only
18 episodes despite a strong critical
reaction given this agent Carter is
practically begging for renewal on
Netflix let me try to talk Oh delightful
number two freaks and geeks sure it’s a
little far-fetched but we can dream
can’t we I guess not
freaks and geeks is a cult classic that
aired on NBC for one all-too-brief
season do you mind flappin your lips
somewhere else
you smell centered on the so-called
freaks and geeks throughout their high
school lives this show stood out from
the pack thanks to its stellar cast
which includes a host of now a-list
actors including James Franco and Seth
Rogen while getting the band back
together may prove difficult
we believe that Netflix could pull it
off especially when you consider what
they did with the cast of wet hot
American summer don’t do it you’ll
regret it man trust me number one
Firefly
[Music]
if there’s one show that fans have been
clamoring for forever since its untimely
cancellation its Firefly you want to go
down this road with me boy
this science-fiction / drama / space
Western / whatever else it wanted to be
gave us a look into the world of the
crew of the serenity spaceship while it
was canceled in 2002 you still here fans
online fondly reminiscing about its
original run and hoping perhaps in vain
for its return like the way the walls go
out give you an open feeling we can
think of no better platform for its
return the Netflix what with its wide
reach and customary high budgets
likewise if you are business is bringing
shows back from the grave there is no
better candidate than Firefly long as we
got good
[Music]
we would do you agree with our pics
