special for Saturday Night Live’s 40th
anniversary complete with a red-carpet
event filled with poignant comedic and
sometimes awkward interviews 80
performers appeared in the opening
sequence and while the show had obvious
low points and high points the overall
experience reminded all of SNL’s past
and what made Lauren Michaels series so
important to begin with it’s hard to
believe that this show has been going on
