tis the season to welcome new content
and say goodbye to the old welcome to
watchmojo.com – and leaving Netflix in
December 2018
before we begin we publish new content
every day so be sure to subscribe to our
Channel and ring the bell to get
notified about our latest videos for
this list we’re looking at five of the
best properties that Netflix will sadly
be dropping come December 2018 as well
as five of the best incoming titles for
you to get excited about
number five Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
leaving December 16th 2018 based on the
critically acclaimed 1974 John McAfee
novel Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy centers
around the search for a Soviet double
agent within Britain’s Secret Service
the film was a modest hit at the box
office
overlooked by many due to its slower
this is an old-school espionage film
more focused on intrigue than the
action-oriented secret agents of modern
film what it lacks in chase scenes and
gunplay however it more than makes up
for with its complex plot and stellar
cast everybody’s looking for me you
can’t stay here how often do you get to
see the likes of Gary Oldman Colin Firth
Tom Hardy John Hurt mark Strong Benedict
Cumberbatch and Kieran hints all in the
same film number 5 chilling Adventures
of Sabrina a mid Winter’s Tale coming
December 14th 2018 I shall deliver
by now you’ve surely already binge
watched Netflix this hot new take on
Sabrina the Teenage Witch perhaps more
than once if you haven’t you’re missing
out on some very watchable content
especially if you’re a fan of Riverdale
as a gift to its subscribers Netflix is
bringing us a special Christmas episode
in the form of the aptly titled amid
Winter’s Tale we can’t get enough of
Kiernan Shipka stake on Sabrina or the
world that’s been built around her and
so this is a welcome treat indeed it’s
also where I’ll be reborn this Friday
night on my 16th birthday at the stroke
of midnight under an eclipsing blood
moon Netflix isn’t giving too much away
but considering the scares delivered in
season 1 don’t expect this holiday
special to be of the holly-jolly variety
number 4 Groundhog Day
leaving December 1st 2018 I wake up
every day right here right in
Punxsutawney
and it’s always February 2nd then
there’s nothing I can do about living
the same day over and over again like
Bill Murray’s character in this film
would indeed be a nightmarish experience
but if that daily sequence of events
included getting to watch the Groundhog
Day we’re not sure it would be that bad
sadly time continues to boldly march
forward bringing with it the batch of
departures from the Netflix library
including this classic comedy it’s kind
of
it’s gonna be gray and it’s gonna last
you for the rest of your life if you’re
one of the few people out there who has
somehow managed to not see this film yet
trust us when we say it’s a must-watch
nineties offering after all a movie
doesn’t wind up in the United States
National Film registry without good
reason I’m a God your God I’m a God not
the guy number four
dumpling coming December 7 2018 dumpling
the other side with this musical comedy
dumpling rom-com stalwart Jennifer
Aniston tries her hand at the Netflix
model not only playing a leading role
but also serving as a producer she plays
a one-time beauty queen in the movie who
is still very much involved in the world
of pageantry when her overweight
daughter chooses to compete however
things get very interesting now look I
don’t understand why are you doing this
it’s a protest
Danielle McDonald plays her daughter
Willow Dean dumpling Dixon and based on
the trailer alone it’s safe to say that
people are going to love the performance
wait no I’m not the Joan of Arc of fat
girls the dynamic between these two
talented actresses promises a lot of
laughs and maybe even a heartfelt moment
or two this is definitely one for your
watchlist number three spot light
leaving December 22nd 2018 this
biographical drama took home Oscars for
Best Picture and Best Screenplay and
those are just two notable wins in a
long list of various nominations and
wins written and directed by Tom
McCarthy spotlight tells the true story
of how the Boston Globe’s team of
investigative journalists brought
attention to the widespread occurrence
of child abuse within the Catholic
Church in the city it boasts an all-star
cast including Mark Ruffalo Michael
Keaton Rachel McAdams Liev Schreiber and
John Slattery all of whom turn in award
worthy performances if you haven’t seen
the film it’s well worth a watch both as
a piece of American history and as a
reminder of the importance of journalism
number three Anthony Bourdain parts
unknown season 11 coming December 25th
2018 it’s hard to believe that there
will never be another new season of
parts unknown or any other Anthony
Bourdain series for that matter
try to comfort yourself in situations
like this thinking oh I’m sure that you
know people who are really really
wealthy or they’re probably really
miserable they don’t know the sort of
ups and downs the happiness the the
contrast the passion that I have after
the shocking and tragic death of the
food icon in 2018 re watching his shows
can feel rather bittersweet but hard
though it may be to click play it would
be an absolute shame to not appreciate
the wealth of culinary knowledge and
unique insight left behind by Bourdain
in his award-winning CNN series as of
December 25th 2018 the second to last
season of parts unknown is available to
stream on Netflix taking us to such
destinations as Uruguay Newfoundland
Armenia Hong Kong and Bhutan among
others number two Moana leaving December
20th 2018 and 2016 Disney took us on an
animated adventure the likes of which
we’d never been on before
through Polynesia and the mythology of
its land in people he’s hard on you
because he doesn’t get me because he was
you a heartwarming inspiring and often
thrilling tale Moana follows the titular
young character as she ventures out on
the quest to save her village by
returning a goddess her heart it earned
two Academy Award nominations much
praise from critics and was another big
win for Disney at the box office it’s
congratulations on not being dead
unfortunately as of December 20th you’ll
have to look elsewhere for your regular
dose of Moana number 2 Ellen DeGeneres
relatable coming December 18th 2018 I
mentioned that I worked a lot over the
summer what I did was I have I went back
to stand up let’s get one thing straight
Ellen DeGeneres has absolutely nothing
left to prove to anyone second only to
Oprah Ellen is perhaps the most
successful television personality of all
time she’s written books she’s hosted
the Academy Awards Grammys and Primetime
Emmys she’s won 30 Emmys set records at
the People’s Choice Awards and she’s got
a freaking Presidential Medal of Freedom
so why would Ellen DeGeneres return to
stand up after over 15 years when she
has so little to gain and plenty of face
to lose because she’s Ellen and she’s
awesome
hey Barack Hey
hey girl to you too Oh Michelle tell you
about the Netflix special I love her so
much
it’s December 18th it’s called relatable
given that she’s consistently funny on
her daily talk show there’s plenty of
reason to believe she’s still got it
number one sons of anarchy leaving
December 1st 2018 saying goodbye is
never easy though if you’re a fan of
this series chances are that you’ve
gotten really good at it what with all
the character deaths that occur
throughout the show’s 7 seasons
that being said sons of anarchy about
his badass of a television drama as
there ever was is a very rewatchable
show and it’ll be sad to see it go we
worked hard to create this business we
serve time we lost brothers we split a
lot of blood as of December 1st 2018 it
will no longer be conveniently available
to stream on Netflix if you’ve never
watched the series before consider this
your final warning to put your binging
helmet on and take it for a spin if
you’re a die-hard fan why not go for one
more ride number one Avengers infinity
war coming December 25th 2018 what a
time to be alive and a fan of comic
books superheroes and blockbuster films
Avengers infinity war was a crossover
event film without precedent 10 years in
the making and if blue cinema-goers away

of December 25th 2018 you can re-watch
it to your heart’s content
and all it takes is a Netflix

we’re not sure what to say about this
film that hasn’t been said already
especially since most of you surely saw
it in theaters maybe even more than once

spending Christmas afternoon
