notified about our latest videos for
this list we’re taking a look at
upcoming reboots and revivals of classic
TV shows we’ve been yearning for more of
this is the out-of-this-world supersonic
[Music]
airing from 1999 to 2002 Roswell is one
of those shows that got canceled far too
soon no matter how many bottles of
Tabasco sauce supporters sent in it
looked like this cult show was dead and
buried fans were given a glimmer of hope
in October 2017 however when the CW
teased a potential reboot a couple of
months later it was announced that a
pilot had been ordered with Julie Plec
of The Vampire Diaries directing and So
You Think You Can Dance Victor Jeanine
Mason playing the lead the story puts a
fresh spin on immigration as a young
woman with undocumented parents learns
that her teenage crush is literally an
illegal alien will we ever go back I
don’t know number 9 the l word in many
respects the l word did for Showtime
what Sex in the City did for HBO rather
than focusing on an ensemble of
heterosexual women though this
groundbreaking drama followed several
women who preferred the same sex picking
up multiple GLAAD Awards during its
initial run the show was praised for its
honest depiction of lesbians now she’s
kid and I haven’t seen her before as a
possible eight years after the final
episode aired it was announced that
Showtime was eyeing a sequel series with
creator Eileen shaken returning to
executive produce and filmmaker Marcia
Lewis Ryan acting as showrunner
actresses Jennifer Beals Catherine Meg
and Leisha Haley are also attached to
the project which will revolve around a
new group of female characters we need
shows that are about community and
acceptance and most importantly about
women
number 8 Sister Sister so we decided –
best way for us to get money was to get
a job work on the boyfriend thing later
and that’s the biggest news in our lives
right now in recent years we’ve seen
several family-friendly sitcoms from the
90s make a comeback
keeping the spirit of TGIF alive Boy
Meets World transitioned into Girl Meets
World full house continued as fuller
house and now the Maury sisters are
heading back to the small screen tia &
tamera have been hinting at the
possibility of a Sister Sister reunion
for a while now speaking with Steve
Harvey in early 2018 actress jackie
harry confirmed that a revival series
was indeed in the works
although gugu considering the original
show ended almost 20 years ago it’ll be
fun to catch up with the old gang for
more crazy twin shenanigans number 7 the
Jetsons over the years various studios
and filmmakers have attempted to revive
hanna-barbera space-age animated series
in 2017 it was announced that ABC and WB
television would be collaborating on a
live-action multi-camera comedy series
based on the Jetsons granted live-action
adaptations of classic cartoons rarely
work just look at the Flintstones
the talent behind this reboot has us
optimistic though with Robert Zemeckis
of Back to the Future executive
producing and the pilot written by Gary
Jannetty who’s worked on shows like Will
& Grace and Family Guy with these names
involved Jetsons just might be a
refreshing blast from the past from the
future
number 6 Murphy Brown let me just say
what a big fan excuse me with shows like
Roseanne recently returning to the
airwaves it’s getting hard to keep track
of which decade we’re living in
audiences will be receiving yet another
dose of 80s 90s nostalgia with the
return of Murphy Brown in 2018 CBS has
officially announced that Candice Bergen
is reprising her Emmy winning role for a
13-episode
11th season the initial series was known
for tackling various relevant topics
most notably challenging Vice President
Dan Quayle stance on single parenting
seeing as how family structures have
evolved since then and today’s political
climate is tailor-made for satire now’s
as good a time as any to get Murphy back
behind the news desk number 5 Animaniacs
despite being loaded with timely
pop-culture references Animaniacs still
manages to remain timeless even decades
later so it makes perfect sense for
executive producer Steven Spielberg to
reboot the franchise for audiences young
and old with wellesley Wilde a Family
Guy acting as showrunner this revival
will see the return of Yakko Wakko and
dot as well as Pinky and the brain set
to premiere in 2020 the new series has
already received a two-season
order from Hulu wait so with their
pending acquisition of 21st Century Fox
Disney would have the majority stake in
Hulu does that mean the Warner’s will be
moving from the water tower to the mouse
house number 4 Young Justice Outsiders
I’m sorry
you’re too late yet another show that
got prematurely axed young justice only
lasted for two seasons but it’s
dedicated following wouldn’t let it go
quietly into the night
initially cancelled in 2013 the animated
series developed an even larger fanbase
once all the episodes were made
available on Netflix this helped pave
the way for a glorious day in 2016 when
Warner Brothers animation announced a
third season which will be entitled
Young Justice Outsiders Aqualad Superboy
Batgirl and various others will be back
in action for this long-awaited revival
even better
Brandon be Eddy and Greg Weisman are
also returning as show runners
guaranteeing the new season we’ll do our
young heroes justice a new crew old crew
new actors old actors were all so
psyched to be back doing season 3 number
3 Carmen Sandiego
[Applause]
[Music]
spanning across a cartoon to game shows
and numerous computer games Carmen
Sandiego dominated popular culture
throughout the late 80s and 90s after
several years of being absent from the
public eye however fans have been asking
/ singing the same question where in the
world is Carmen Sandiego the answer is
on Netflix the streaming service is
releasing a new animated series with
Gina Rodriguez of Jane the Virgin and
Annihilation voicing the world’s
greatest thief Rodriguez will also
portray a live-action version of the
character in a Netflix feature film but
Carmen Sandiego is incredible Netflix is
doing a phenomenal job is still geared
towards children which is very cool
still very educational but very very fun
for anyone who is a gumshoe back in the
day it’s time to unravel the greatest
mystery of all Carmen San Diego’s back
story number 2
Shira when people think of kick-ass
animated Princesses Shira is one of the
first names that comes to mind much like
the Masters of the Universe franchise on
the whole however the princess of power
animated series has started to show its
age of course that’s just one of the
many reasons why princess adora is an
ideal candidate for a reboot slated for
a 2018 release the new Shira series will
be a collaboration between Netflix and
DreamWorks Animation these two
entertainment giants previously did an
exceptional job rebooting the Voltron
franchise with Eisner award-winning
author noelle stevenson
also executive producing it’s safe to
assume that this show will have the
power number 1 the twilight zone
the twilight zone has actually already
been revived a couple of times although
none has ever been able to top the rich
storytelling or cultural impact of the
original 1959 series
[Music]
with American Horror Story and
especially Black Mirror though anthology
series have been resurfacing in
popularity as of late so now seems like
an appropriate time to reboot Rod
Serling’s creation yet again we cannot
think of a better person to adapt the
franchise for a modern audience than
Jordan Peele who won an Academy Award
for writing the horror comedy get out if
you’ve been on the fence about getting
CBS all access this series just might
do you agree with our picks check out
