channels where guys upload footage of
them playing a video game along with
their own brand of commentary and comedy
what while we’ve excluded reviewers so

videos to include unique skits
animations discussions and general
weirdness
although views and subscribers are
obviously a major factor in our ranking
we’re also taking into consideration
votes from our users personal preference

much to my disappointment this channel
is actually not run by a cheerful
British cat named Stan P but rather a
chipper British man named Joseph Garrett
today in this video we are actually
going on an adventure now if you saw my
last video you may remember that I built
a submarine stampy is mr. minecraft his
most famous series my lovely world and
most recently minecraft Xbox focus
entirely on Minecraft I make videos on a
bunch of different games and upload at
least one minecraft video every single
day if you ever needed proof that you’re
not a very creative person all you have
to do is watch one of these videos and
then remember that he does one a day and
they’re all about 20 minutes long
minecraft isn’t the only thing he covers
but he does stick to what I would call
lighter fare other games that he covers
our Disney infinity Mario Kart 8 and
terraria to give you a few examples if I
were to say there was a unifying theme
to his videos I would say it would be
win Z all of his videos are cheerful and
fun and it’s all solidified by his
personality and welcome to a minecraft
let’s play video a video guess where
inside of stampy’s lovely world only in
stampy’s lovely world he is number 9 the
rad-brad known as the king of the
youtube walkthroughs as well as a
self-described professional chair
thrower
it should come as no surprise that the
rad-brad focuses on walkthroughs so guys
we are back with
more isolation I’m not even been called
alien anymore because I’m more scared of
Androids he seems to cover all the big
new triple-a games
if you’re looking for walkthroughs with
more indie kind of stuff more niche
appeal I’m afraid you might be left out
of the cult however if you want in-depth
detailed HD walkthroughs of that new
hotness he’s your man
now when I say walkthroughs I mean
really just that he does in-depth
detailed walkthroughs of pretty much the
whole game
for example his shadow of mordor
walkthrough which I know for a fact is a
pretty short game has 30 different parts
so apparently this is the actual finale

he does commentary throughout the games
that being said he doesn’t show his face
like a lot of other channels but his
commentary is pretty great makes a lot
of references to his Corgi chubs he also
plays a lot of horror games which is
also common on let’s play channels and
he does these blind they’re blind
playthroughs meaning that when something
jumps and scares him you’re right there
with him yeah these are good for a
number of reasons say you’re stuck at a
specific spot maybe you just want to see
the video game in action or maybe you’re
lazy or broken you need someone else to
play the game for you either way
Scott you covered number eight captain
sparkles captain sparkles much like his
pure mr. stampy cat focuses a lot on
Minecraft but in a slightly different
way you may have seen one of his videos
minecraft style which is as you may have
guessed a parody of the insanely popular
Gangnam stop diggin minecraft style
– give my grandson this video is
insanely well produced I don’t think he
did it in the Minecraft Engine but
that’s beside the point the writing the
music everything is spot-on and it also
serves as a pretty good template for the
quality that goes into the rest of the
channel but it’s not even the only video
he’s done he’s done a bunch of other
ones same quality parodying uh sure
Coldplay maroon 5 that’s just to name a
few aside from the Minecraft videos and
the more conventional let’s play videos
he also does a lot of themed videos for
instance there’s this one series where
he does where him and his friends
reenact the Hunger Games in Minecraft
oh geez someone died already wow that
was quick lastly one of the things he
does are challenges where he’ll play a
seemingly impossible game and then
challenge himself to take a sip of
something seemingly disgusting in
between mess ups look so gross it’s
because he does this sort of different
stuff that makes his channel sort of
hard to summarize however if you’d like
to see a man torture himself with
horrible sodas or sing about Minecraft
he’s for you number 7 smosh games
smoshgames is actually the seventh
channel created under the smosh brand
meaning that they have the backing of a
larger parent company and as such their
production value is actually quite high
to the point rock band 3 all right I
like to call it extreme Carey oh this
extra production value definitely helps
because they’re a channel with a lot of
different personalities
now these personalities play the games
but they also do a lot of different
events podcasts discussions challenges
where you sort of get to know the game
what’s up everybody today we’re going to
be doing what we’d like to call the hot
sauce roulette week challenge we would
not like to call it that I don’t want to
call it that’s well that’s this well
ready Colleen’s favorite so now these
personalities are what carry a lot of
the content for example they’re
countdowns are all host driven
off-the-cuff sort of deals which
showcase the essent Rissa teas of the
host in question as much as they do the
games they’re talking about it’s
beautiful it’s colorful it’s magnificent

the whole gang in the room watching the

does happen so bad

run screen junkies if you watch the show
last week you’ll remember that screen
junkies do those on its trailers but for
movies Smosh does them with the same guy
but for video games some people play
games to relax some play for fun others
just want a game to fight them until
they love it so if you like those honest
trailers you definitely have to check
them out for the video games because
they’re even better number six
seananners gaming channel compared to
some of the other guys we’ve already
checked out
seananners might seem a bit fast and
loose on the production side these
videos are generally just a feat of him
playing the video along with the voices
of the other players he’s playing with
just because you’re the hidden doesn’t
make you God so where does the fun come
in from the craziness duh his videos are
usually a mix of irreverent humor and
hysterical laughter it’s just him and
his buddies playing the game having a
hysterically good time for example one
of his videos is him playing a total
conversion of half-life 2 called the
hidden where one of his buddies is
stalking the other players while
pretending to be Morgan Freeman Atkins
me out you we won’t find detailed
walkthroughs here there’s a lot to love
about his content first of all he shows
a lot of lesser-known stuff indie titles
or mods stuff that doesn’t get as much
mainstream appeal but and I’d say the
most important the videos really capture
the spirit that gaming is supposed to be
a social aspect they really serve as a
good reminder that games are best
enjoyed with friends and that fun is the

because they have so much content they
post five days a week
sometimes two or three videos and these

the most popular content now this
started from what I believe as a
relatively self-explanatory program
where people looked for the achievements
that you could get in the seventh gen

little early okay now I believe it’s
evolved into a bunch of different
offshoot shows for instance achievement
hunt is a game where they play horse
except in a game and with the word hunt

remember a time when let’s play videos
where just a crazy person screaming into
a microphone while playing a game
jacksepticeye remembers how do you
expect a guy to do this if you can’t see
where he’s falling oh I hit my face off
it since his manic vocal reactions are
often the best parts of these videos

he takes the best freak-outs from a

the video they often devolve very
