when a group of friends think they’ve
killed someone with their car the timid
max is blamed and pays the ultimate
price cuz I’m gonna say this once
ou can kill your ass I got no problem
off of me after Barry threatens him with
a hook max later finds himself on the
receiving end of a grisly death blow
interacting with the so-called cool kids
didn’t work out too well for max this
time don’t you test me mother huh number
nine Barry and Claudette Friday the 13th
just when these two thought they were
going to get lucky their luck ran out
hold on if you have sex in this film
genre your time left breathing is gonna
run out pretty quickly you said you are
special unmanned air although this has
become an overly familiar horror trope
it in no way takes away from the
awesomeness of this scene to camp
counselors find some alone time to get
busy and instead get busy dying when an
unknown assailant crashes there good
times we weren’t doing anything we were
just messing the two characters meet
their end from a first-person point of
view and this is what they get for not
doing their jobs number eight Kirk
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre anybody home
despite being made on a shoestring
budget by a then-unknown director
there’s a good reason this flick became
a horror classic that reason is because
the filmmakers pulled zero punches when
Kirk enters the home of a cannibalistic
family we know that he’s likely to
regret it
but we couldn’t have envisioned how
brutal his death would be hello a door
slides open and a hammer is swung
causing Kirk’s body to spasm
he’s later seen butchered by a chainsaw
while Pam watches impaled on a hook in
other words this scene and movie are not
for the faint of heart he’s gonna get
you Franco he’s coming to get you number
seven
Maggie Peterson child’s play huh a
child’s toy comes to life and then kills
sounds like a pretty stupid concept but
in execution child’s play is a pretty
damn great film and Chucky is totally
terrifying when Andy’s mother needs to
leave she entrusts her son safety to her
friend Maggie but we’re sure she never
suspected that it was the adult in this
situation that would be in danger
paranoid Meggy creeps around the
apartment looking for an assailant never
suspecting about a good guy doll would
be her undoing he’s wrong I’m scaring
myself struck in the face with a hammer
she takes several steps backwards
probably in shock and crashes through a
window falling to her death becoming
Chucky’s very first victim number 6
Jules Loudon the cabin in the woods a
little barren is shirt tank yes it will
have to come off
the cabin in the woods has fun with
every horror cliche in the book one of
which is that the slutty girl needs to
die first when a group of students
travels to a cabin two of them break off
to have sex
however they have the misfortune of
crossing paths with a zombified version
of the Buckner family ripped away from
her boyfriend who was helpless to come
to her aid Jules is mercilessly
decapitated moments after she was given
a close-up view of the weapon that does
the deed ladies if you’re in a slasher
flick keep your clothes on
the viewers might not like it so much
but your heartbeat will thank you this
we offer an humility and fear for the
Blessed peace of your eternal slumber as
it ever was and it has a lot number 5
Michele Mancini urban legend okay please
please make it coming out shortly after
screen urban legend is largely
remembered as a cheap retread of
superior self-aware slasher place
although that criticism is fair it’s
also a shame because that downplays the
magnificence of this opening sequence
that brings an urban legend to life run
runner gasps this scene borrows from the
tale of a young woman scared by man that
is following her come in fact one minute
sleek credit card company’s on it
Wow eventually she finds out that her
supposed stalker was actually trying to
warn her about the axe wielding maniac
in the backseat of her car
ha ha ha say by that point however it’s
definitely too late
number four Phil Stevens scream to get
it back see inside we know we know you
were expecting to see Casey Becker from
the first Scream film but you may have
forgotten though is that Casey’s
inability to answer some movie trivia
resulted in her boyfriend’s death the
screen sequel however begins with a
great death – as a couple goes to the
theater to see stab a film within a film
based on the original film hello that
might be confusing but it’s clear here
that curiosity killed this cat as Phil
tries to hear the action in the stall
beside him and is instead met with what
appears to be a knife in the year in the
year
number three Wesley wrote Halloween
engine I’ll be fixed felt my old man’s
gonna beat my ass this may not be the
Halloween film you were expecting but
this death definitely earned its place
on our list
when the school bully makes the mistake
of taking advantage of a young Michael
Myers his retribution comes quick and
bloody stalked by his one-time victim
who is now wearing a creepy clown mask
and wielding a stick
Leslie begs for mercy and apologizes for
a mere moment when Michael removes his
mask his suffering seems to be at an end
that is of course until Michael dons
damask again and ends the bully’s life
instead number two Judith Margaret Myers
Halloween my parents won’t be home until
home are you sure
surprise the original made the cut –
you’re alone aren’t we
Michael’s around someplace really though
how could it not accompanied by arguably
the best score in slasher history we get
a first person mask view of a killer
stalking his prey
a topless woman quickly comes into view
and when she turns around a butcher’s
knife has shown swinging at its target
and taken her life after exiting he’s
met by a surprise boy saying his name
the predator is revealed to be a young
boy in a clown outfit and the audience’s
expectations are utterly blown away
creepy and shocking this scene is a
masterpiece Michael
before we reveal our top pick here are a
few honorable mentions

Tina gray I’m Nightmare on Elm Street
somebody there Freddie may have devolved
into a jokester of sorts these days but
we hope you haven’t forgotten how
terrifying his first film truly was who
the hell is that a being that will kill
you while you sleep
Freddie is intellectually freaky and
Tina’s demise is just plain chilling
please stop then good god he chases her
down in alleyway where his arms
lengthened to ensure no escape and then
we segue from seeing her dream to what’s
actually happening to her floating in
the air in front of her boyfriend she is
ripped to shreds and fly across the room
before she convulses fruitlessly trying
to survive before falling dead on the
