the Marvel multiverse is a place of
infinite possibilities and let’s be
honest we just want more spider-man
welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’re
counting down the top 10 alternate
reality versions of spider-man before we
begin we publish new videos every day so
be sure to subscribe for more great
content for this list we’re looking at
our favorite alternate versions of the
friendly neighborhood spider-man whether
they be Peter Parker’s from alternate
dimensions or other characters who have
taken up the mantle of spider-man in
their respective universe number 10
Peter porker the spectacular spider ham
you may think that this poor kind
powerhouse is an ordinary Pig with a
proportionate strength and speed of a
spider but you’d be wrong this web
slinger actually began as an arachnid
specifically one from a universe
populated by animal people after being
bitten by may porker a pig inventor
irradiated and driven into a frenzy by
an atomic hairdryer his body transformed
into that of a pig while retaining his
natural arachnid abilities resulting in
something greater than either spider or
Pig naturally he set out to use his
newfound power to fight for truth and
justice and rampant animal puns number 9
the spider in 2003 Marvel published
Marvel 1602 a miniseries set in an
alternate timeline which the Marvel
heroes were born in the Elizabethan era
in this timeline Peter Parker is the
apprentice of Sir Nicholas Fury Her
Majesty’s top spy after several
adventures he finally gained spider
powers and became the masked crime
fighter he was always meant to be a
career that brought him up gains
similarly all dtime versions of the
Green Goblin Doctor Octopus and the
lizard all while rocking a period
appropriate Spidey suit complete with
ruffled collar sadly his adventures came
to an end when he was cut down by the
evil dimension-hopping vampire more loon
number 8 Fantastic Four spider-man in
yet another alternate timeline this one
the focus of the very first of Marvel’s
what-if comics a cash-strapped Spidey
joins the Fantastic Four who promptly
renamed themselves the fantastic five at
first this seems like a great
arrangement for all involved with Spidey
getting not only a steady paycheck but a
much better public image but it doesn’t
take long for disaster to strike as was
almost always the case for what if
stories
Spidey’s presents disrupts the team
dynamic and The Invisible Woman finds
herself more and more ostracized from
the team eventually leaving it for good
number 9 spider-man noir as far as
superheroes go Spidey is pretty firmly
on the bright and colorful
of things a far cry from heroes who
prefer to play in the gritty dark and
broody sandbox
but not so for this alternate reality
webslinger who hails from a version of
the Marvel Universe modeled after the
black and white crime ridden landscape
of film noir this world Spidey wears an
all-black outfit made from his departed
Uncle Ben’s World War 1 uniform and
rather than leave bad guys tied up to
the cops he prefers to just shoot them
and be done with it
harsh butthe matically appropriate
number 6 spider boy despite their
vicious competition for the hearts minds
and wallets of comics fans everywhere
Marvel and DC have gotten along on
occasion and sometimes have even
collaborated on one such occasion
the result was amalgam comics a comics
label owned by both companies and
populated by mashups of each company’s
characters of the many odd characters to
inhabit this universe this amalgamation
of spider-man and Superboy frankly is
definitely one of the weirdest a genetic
clone with a web gun and the power to
manipulate gravity
he’s the mashup Hugh wanted and fewer
liked like most of the amalgam universe
we should probably forget he ever
existed number 5
William Braddock aka spider UK
spider-man isn’t the only hero to team
up with his transdimensional counterpart
the uk-based superhero Captain Britain
has teamed up with his counterparts to
form the Captain Britain Corps a group
dedicated to protecting the multiverse
one of his many alternate versions also
plays for Team spider-man and that’s
this Union Jack wearing spider after
leaving the Captain Britain Corps to
protect his fellow spiders he led the
spider army in the fight against the
sinister inheritors following the
inheritors defeat he went on to form the
Warriors of the great web a group that
protects those worlds that have lost
their spider-man number four Spider Girl
made a Parker alternate timeline seemed
to be the running theme here and we’ve
got another one for you in the timeline
of Marvel’s mc2 series the heroes of the
Marvel Universe have already grown old
and passed on their respective Mantle’s
to the next generation for spider-man
this wasn’t entirely a choice as he lost
one of his legs during a pitched battle
with the Green Goblin but thankfully for
Peter and the rest of New York his
daughter Mae nicknamed Mayday took up
his mantle with gusto Mayday has all the
powers of her dear old dad and she’s
continued to fight the good fight even
after the mc2 series was ended number 3
Spider Woman aka spider-gwen this
relatively recent addition to the
spider-man universe has quickly become a
fan favorite Skye
rocketing in popularity since her first
appearance in the Spidey verse storyline
in her universe when Stacy was bitten by
that fateful radioactive spider
rather than Peter Parker obviously to
send her down a much different path in
her mainstream counterpart one with
significantly more crime-fighting and
significantly less dying like Peter she
struggles to balance her two lives with
the added pressure of sharing a house
with an NYPD captain determined to put
her behind bars
but also like Peter she has a knack for
taking what life throws at her in stride
number 2 spider-man 2099 in the
far-flung future of 2099 the age of
superheroes has long since passed and
massive corporate conglomerates control
the world but when a brilliant
geneticist working for the alchemax
Corporation has granted spider powers in
a failed attempt on his life this dark
future gains a familiar-looking red and
blue hero undoubtedly the most popular
and enduring character to emerge from
Marvel’s 2099 series this sci-fi
influenced webhead has had numerous team
ups with his contemporary counterpart
and even recently had an extended stay
in the present and who can blame him the
year 2099 sounds kind of depressing
we’ll stick with 2211 at least that era
Spidey got awesome robot arms
number one Miles Morales after the smash
success of the spider-man in x-men
movies a comic universe populated by
newly updated versions of those
characters was created in order to draw
in new readers for years the ultimate
universes Peter Parker fought the forces
of evil before perishing in battle
thankfully this young hero was ready to
take his place having gained similar
spider powers himself but when the
Ultimate Universe was destroyed and it’s
comic line discontinued he was spared
the fate of so many of his peers when he
was transplanted to the primary Marvel
Universe the Ultimate Universe itself
may not exist anymore but this breakout
character endures do you agree with our
