labeled as Volvo’s Nadia stride the s60
sure does turn some heads hi I’m Miranda
life stone with watchmojo.com and today
we’re gonna find out just how scandalous
the Scandinavian can be when you first
step into the s60 t6 you realize that
the interior is very functional this
middle console here almost looks like a
cell phone and really it acts that way
when you have it on telephone you’ve got
your full dial pad here you have access
to your radio your media and then your
my car which is all your security
settings and your safety settings
sitting here as a driver everything is
very accessible everything is very
straightforward you don’t really have to
think about anything where the system is
a bit difficult to use is when you go
through the folders dealing with these
two buttons here you’re okay menu and
your power volume sound it gets a bit
confusing and there isn’t a touchscreen
even though you really want to go up
there and go for it
it’s not as touchscreen like most cars
nowadays we really have to use these
buttons down here when you’re driving
that can be a bit distracting but I
think once you get used to the system
it’s actually very functional
during s56 the sophisticatedly sporting
now I say that because this Volvo isn’t
overtly in-your-face fast now true it
has a 3.0 litre inline-six engine pushes
up 300 horsepower and 325 pound feet of
torque but it’s not drill you backing in
a seat quick you push the throttle you
look down at the speedometer and you
think oh my god I’m going that fast cuz
no loud noise there’s no feedback from
the exhaust you don’t even hear the
turbo but I kind of like it
Volvo makes a statement without
screaming it and this s60 is the perfect
example of that every seven is the s60
and it’s a bit of a sporty or model
suspension is a bit more rigid but the
thing is it’s not rigid enough it’s not
fully sport and it’s not fully comfort
and I kind of don’t like that you go
around a corner and you feel a bit more
of a roll
you even go say it’s a comfortable
suspension but then you’ve hit a bump in
your jarred and you think we’ll wait no
it’s sporty it’s not like the car
doesn’t know what to be and there’s no
way to adjust it it’s not like a BMW
where you have comfort sport or normal
now it’s also nice about this version
this is the s60 t6 not the t5 which
means it’s the all-wheel drive now it is
95% front-wheel drive until it feels
that it needs power in the back to
adjust at which point it’ll split and
become an all-wheel drive vehicle now if
we’re in snowy or conditions we’re not
today just a bit wet you would feel the
system kick in and it’s actually pretty
responsive
while notoriously known as blind
vehicles I think the Suites have a
really exciting number in the s60 and
one that just might change a few
opinions on the brand
